I recommend this course to its target audience, but I want to be nuanced, so let me say that it is like learning from an older student, not a professor/instructor, which comes with pros and cons. Pros: There is some very good information in this course. I will be using many things in this course for my own language learning in the future, and I think the way thing are broken down will help me quite a bit. Out of respect for the fact that this is a paid course I will share no specific examples here. Cons: As a teacher, Garstka is rough. This course feels incredibly unfocused, and I do feel like I had to hunt for the useful knowledge in it. There are also times where he feels uncertain of the specifics, like he is remembering something offhand rather than having taken the time to be sure of it before beginning his lecture. But most of all, he is a rambler. Boy does this many ramble, repeat himself, and go down rabbit trails. This course has 10hrs of video, but due to his lack of focus less than 5 is devoted to meaningful content. As bad as those cons might sound, I still recommend this course to interested parties because it's all about how to learn a language on your own. If you are going to learn a language in 10 days, or simply make a push to conversationality, then you wont have a teacher holding your hand. If you are the kind of person who is willing and able to use Gastka's methods, then you are probably the kind of person who will be able to sift through his unfocused rhetoric

The music was a little distracting but nice. Also, The teacher spent a lot of time speaking in Spanish, French, and German. I realize that the point is to show how much he learned in 10 days, but since I don't understand those languages, I found myself jumping forward.

This is invaluable information. It teaches you the framework of how to acquire the ability to communicate in a foreign language. I am an English native learning Russian and I was very disappointed with the Russian teachers and courses that I tried. There was a lot of information and vocabulary and grammar, all the tools to make sentences but something is missing. It is like building a house and having all the tools, and blueprints to build a house but you still need someone that has experience building a house to help you build it so that you can build it efficiently and properly. This course almost does that. The only thing missing is the experienced person that has already learned Russian that can help a beginner learn Russian. Because I realized that this theory in this Udemy course is solid, but there needs to be courses produced that take the theory and applies it step by step in each language.

O curso é interessante, mas, ao meu ver ele foca mais nas diferenças de cada língua do que no método em si. Por tal motivo, deliberadamente saltei alguns trechos, pois não tinha o interesse em saber, por exemplo, a fonética do Mandarin. Creio que o foco deveria se dar mais no como fazer (preparação, estudos, forma) do que nos detalhes de cada língua. Creio que faltou materiais em PDF também. Ao menos a tabela com os Pilares 1/2 poderia ser fornecido em PDF. Ainda sim dou 3 estrelas, pois o Instrutor tem o conhecimento de linguística e propõe um método interessante.

course was very well prepared and super interesting, i was really enjoy and absorbed. learning new languages is kinda tricky because at first it is hard work you must put a lot of time and patience but in a second part it must be amuse and interesting for you, with this course and under aleksander guidance i found very good techniques and interesting way to learning new languages, i can recommend it

Kurs jest bardzo ciekawy. Pokazuje dobre sposoby jak zacząć się uczyć. Chciałbym mieć w sobie jeszcze tyle skrupulatności. Podsumowując kurs na prawdę mi pomógł. Jestem osobą, której ciężko przychodzi nauka. Z tym kursem zrobiłem krok do przodu może nie w 10 dni, ale i tak się cieszę z progresu jaki osiągnąłem.
