To be honest this is the most comprehensive SQL course on Udemy. It is specific to MySQL but that is a good implementation to start with, or learn if you know another version. I knew T-SQL, and this course really taught me much more about SQL than I knew before, and the concepts are taught in a very thorough way. Donatus also answers all his questions in the Q&A very quickly and he's always happy to help students. This course should have a 5 star average.

The most informative and broken down course I've ever taken on Udemy. Honestly, I wish Dr. Obomighie taught way more. To be honest, I purchased this course simply after viewing his preview. The way in which he breaks down every single thing is so very appreciated. I have seen others mention his accent, but honestly I found it to not be distracting at all. Especially considering the fact that he does not simply mention a topic or phase and move on, he actually stops after any new term is brought up and takes 3-4 minutes to give the origin and the use of said term. Literally has been the most informative course I've taken here so far. For reference, I am in the analytics realm and even though I know how to use SQL, I still was able to gain knowledge. I'm used to just using programs and not really knowing the "why". I just know how to use them to complete a task. Muscle memory basically. But this course so far has broken down exactly "Why" we use certain programs and "Why" they matter. So far, I am absolutely loving this and hope he continues to upload more and more and more!

Many exercises to tackle with. CTEs are not officially named but introduced in later subquery sessions. I think recursive is left out. Maybe he is covering in his advanced modules. The interesting part with this module was the JOINS. The 5-6-n joins were informative and trace schema route tactic on linking multi joins were not mentioned in other courses I have taken. The way he teaches is okay and unlike some commenters, I didn't find difficulty understanding him even though I was at playspeeds x1.25~x1.75. I have taken many courses and I have to admit, he is very punctual responding Q/As.

IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE , OVERALL HE COVERS ALL THE MAJOR PORTIONS OF SQL ,. BUT DONT EXPECT MUCH IN TABLUE AND PYTHON JUST COVER BASIC THINGS . SQL HE DID IT WELL WITH A RIGHT BALANCE F THEORY AND PRACTICALS .TBH I LEARNED A LOT . MAJOR POINT, HIS ACCENT IS AFRICAN ENG , AS AN INDIAN IT WAS DIFFICULT HEAR AND COPE , STILL IT WAS FUN AND MADE THE BEST VALUE OUT OF THIS COURSE . THANK YOU SIR,

The language is terrible

Such a great match! Prof. Donatus is a wonderful teacher, I learned so much in this course. He is wonderful at breaking SQL down into small pieces to understand. Take this course, you won't regret it if you want to learn SQL to better yourself! There are also some hidden gems at the end after the SQL lessons.

I have completed this course and enjoyed it thoroughly. Prof Don is a good tutor and has gone through the basics and added some good bonuses along the way including how to use MySQL with Python & Tableau. He takes the time to explain the topics and use visuals at times to explain it better. I have had no issues with Prof Don in understanding concepts and look forward for his next course which I have signed up for.

Though I am an expert on SQL, and I needed a great refresher course, but this went beyond my expectations. There were new things to learn and I was amazed at the wealth of knowledge of the instructor. I would recommend this to both beginners, intermediate and expert learners. Well done!

This course is amazingly structured. I love the challenge and solution style, building from simplicity to advanced and giving plenty room to pause and practice along. I recommend this to anybody that wants to learn MySQL that will stay, not the one that would fly through the window after few days. Experts are those that have solved a lot of problems - this course will really make an expert out of me. Even though there are many courses on SQL, this is different.
