Course Description

>> Learn about the most recent changes to the TOGAF(R) standard version 10.0 with this best-selling training course, including English closed captions. All slides are available for download! All audio files are available for download! <<

Contains a timed practice test.

Over 180,000 students bought the TOGAF 9.1 & 9.2 versions of this course. This version has been completely redone and re-recorded, based on the latest changes to the standard.

If you look at the job listings, developers and architects with TOGAF experience are in high demand.

You can get certified as an enterprise architect with the TOGAF 10.0 certification exam (OGEA-101), and this course will teach you what you need to know!

It takes training to become an Enterprise Architect. Much of that comes through on-the-job skills learned working on software projects larger and larger in scope. However, a specific way to design software at an enterprise scale exists.

The Open Group has defined a standard for this method for almost 10 years now, and over 400 companies and government agencies have been involved in crafting that standard. It is called TOGAF - The Open Group Architecture Framework.

The truth is:

This course helps you become certified in the TOGAF 10.0 specification. By learning the Architecture Development Method (ADM), you will become better at designing systems. If you already architect software for a living, learning an official enterprise architecture framework such as this takes you to the next level of your career.

You owe it to yourself:

If you are a software developer, this is your chance to learn the proper techniques for assessing the requirements of an enterprise and designing the right solutions for today and tomorrow! While software development is a skill any teenager can acquire, and the salaries paid to software developers fall or are frozen, those who know the complex abilities to design large software projects will still be in high demand.

Specifically, this course will teach you:

  • The details of the TOGAF 10.0 Foundation exam (OGEA-101), including how to book it, and my experiences taking the exam

  • The basic and core skills of the TOGAF framework

  • The Architecture Development Method (ADM), all of the phases, and the key information to know to pass the exam

  • Other topics covered on the exam, including Architecture Governance, Architecture Capacity, Enterprise Continuum, Capability Assessment, and reference frameworks such as TRM and III-RM

This course is focused on passing the exam. In-person classes for this same exam costs $2,000 and take 2 days of intensive training. This course aims to bridge the gap between that level of in-person training and self-study.

If you've ever tried to read the TOGAF 10.0 specification or even the official study guides for the exam, you will perhaps agree that they are lengthy and hard to understand. The TOGAF 10.0 spec and related study guides are 500 pages long combined. The official study guide is 265 pages. Both are written in the same style that many official specifications are written in - both very precise and extremely lengthy.

Watching these lectures, doing the quiz questions, and following up with a reading of the relevant section of the specification will cut your self-study time by hours and will give you the confidence to take the exam and get certified at Part 1!

So join me:

Join over 180,000 students studying for the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation certification test in one of my Udemy courses! Many have taken and passed the exam after taking this course! I am confident that this course will save you many, many hours of studying time compared with just reading the 500-page spec yourself. If you are in any way not satisfied for any reason, you can get a full refund from Udemy within 30 days. No questions asked. But I am confident you won't need to. I stand behind this course 100% and am committed to helping you pass. You won't get that commitment from a book, or from any other TOGAF class on Udemy.

I am a TOGAF Certified architect and a member of the Open Group's Architecture Forum - helping to define the standard going forward. I am using the TOGAF 10.0 specification under a commercial license.

Scott Duffy

Hi there, my name is Scott Duffy. And I love making complex technical topics easy to understand.

This has been the basis of my entire career – as a developer, as a development manager, as a software architect – over the past 20 years. I spend half my time in the world of business, explaining complex technical topics to business owners and stakeholders so that they can understand and agree with my approach to solving their business problems with technical solutions. And the other half with developers, explaining the business reasons behind decisions and ensuring that any decisions made on the technical side don't restrict the business in unexpected ways.

And I'm here on Udemy to teach what I know in an approachable way. I started teaching courses in 2014, and have taught over 1,600,000 students. I am grateful every day for being able to connect with so many students in almost every country around the world.

I'm a certified Enterprise Architect and certified cloud architect. I have been developing with Microsoft technologies for 20 years, starting with Classic ASP, and all the versions of .NET. We now live in the cloud era, with Microsoft Azure being prevalent in most large enterprises. I'm certified as an Azure Architect and Developer too. As well as AWS Solution Architect Associate (SAA).

Microsoft MVP Award winner for 2022-2025.

Always like the way Scott explains and translates from textbook to real live experience. Although you have to stay sharp as I found there were some inconsistencies in the references made from one chapter to the other and also not always the same as described in the open group books.

By David Hill on 8/11/2026

I'm not sure why I should care about TOGAF. That was not explained. ...It was explained in a later video. Good content.

By Gagandeep Kaur on 8/7/2026

Course in itself is good for first level of understanding but TOGAF guide must be read for giving certification exam. Sample tests are no where near the level of difficulty of actual exam.

By Jimmy Thomsen on 6/12/2026

To the point. Good pronunciation. Well structured. TOGAF will never be fun like Star Wars even thought the instructor tries to connect it to Star Trek. The foundation is the foundation. My expectations on business relevance with examples will be greater at a practicioner course.

By Israel Hurtado on 5/27/2026

Nice course, previously I taken the TOGAF 9.X course and I want to know the updates. So much information, maybe only in a listening a view position is an easy way to learn, but, is important give time to process and familiarize all the concepts.

By Mili Das on 3/26/2026

I have attended first class on Togaf and you really made it easy to understand I was really nervous before starting but you made it so easy

By Motilal Daravatu on 3/17/2026

I enjoyed the course. Learned many of things. After completing the course. I attempted the practice test and scored below 60%. May be course content is little bit improvised from the exam perspective.

By Paul John on 3/15/2026

Good overview as a background for the level 1 exam. Obviously need to read more around the subject and draw out the processes. Overall I good course, would be useful to give more examples

By Ara MEKENADJIYAN on 2/25/2026

Excellent course, with a pragmatic and simple approach that makes TOGAF’s abstract concepts easier to understand

By Paulo Zenida on 1/12/2026

Too much theory without actual/real examples on how this method applies to the real world. I believe having some of those would greatly improve this course.
