Our take
Based on the ratings of 50,256 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in February 2024. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a statistics primer from 365 Careers, aimed at people heading into data analyst, business intelligence or data science roles. It runs about 4.9 hours across 92 lectures and 18 sections, and it starts from zero: descriptive statistics, distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, then regression with dummy variables. Excel templates come with it, and there are no coding exercises. With more than 235,000 students and a 4.5 rating from over 50,000 reviews, it is a safe first stop rather than a deep one.
Reviewers like the visual explanations and the short, focused videos. One calls the explanations crystal clear, and another says it works as a solid introduction before picking topics to study in more depth. The complaints repeat, though. Some find the pace fast, some want the math behind formulas such as SST=SSR+SSE, and one reviewer says the breadth leaves topics shallow. Others want more practice. A quiz after short videos breaks the flow for a few, and a 2 star reviewer says questions often lack context and send you back to earlier lectures.
The last update was February 2024, which is more than two years back. Statistics does not age fast, so that matters little here, though the course has no Python or R lessons. It is paid, and short enough to finish in a weekend. Treat it as a map of the field, then pair it with a textbook or practice problems if you want the math or hands-on work. Recommended for newcomers who need the big picture quickly.
Pros
- Visual explanations with graphics that reviewers find clear and enjoyable
- Short videos and about 4.9 hours total, so it is easy to finish
- Covers descriptive stats through regression with dummy variables
- No experience required, and Excel templates and course notes are included
Cons
- Fast pace, and some formulas and calculations are not fully explained
- Math is thin, for example no derivation behind SST=SSR+SSE
- Quizzes after short videos break the flow, and some lack context
Super valuable course with clear explanations. I strongly recommend!!!
All Levels fits true beginners well. No prior experience is needed, but the course stays introductory.

And you want to acquire the quantitative skills needed for the job?
Well then, you’ve come to the right place!
Statistics for Data Science and Business Analysis is here for you! (with TEMPLATES in Excel included)
This is where you start. And it is the perfect beginning!
In no time, you will acquire the fundamental skills that will enable you to understand complicated statistical analysis directly applicable to real-life situations. We have created a course that is:
Easy to understand
Comprehensive
Practical
To the point
Packed with plenty of exercises and resources
Data-driven
Introduces you to the statistical scientific lingo
Teaches you about data visualization
Shows you the main pillars of quant research
It is no secret that a lot of these topics have been explained online. Thousands of times. However, it is next to impossible to find a structured program that gives you an understanding of why certain statistical tests are being used so often. Modern software packages and programming languages are automating most of these activities, but this course gives you something more valuable – critical thinking abilities. Computers and programming languages are like ships at sea. They are fine vessels that will carry you to the desired destination, but it is up to you, the aspiring data scientist or BI analyst, to navigate and point them in the right direction.

The way this course explains everything visually, with proper graphics, I really enjoyed the whole course. Also the length of the videos are so proper, the topics are so to the point discussed, so that it becomes enjoyable. I will consider this one as a introductory course, as now we have the knowledge of all the basics after finishing this course, so we can go and learn the specific topics that interests u in more depth.

This is an excellent course, which can enlighten you by all topics of statistics. Best platform to explore basics of statistics. Moreover, exercises, and questions after completion of every chapter is crucial to test the understanding of the course. Don't skip it. Kindly repeat the course & practice the real-time problems to gain more knowledge.

This is like a tool course. The lecturer tells you all the formulas but never shows the logic behind them. It would be much better if you learned this course with the help of AI if you are the type of person who is a deep learner.
By Irene Zamora on 4/1/2026
The detailed explanations in each lesson made it easy to follow. The exercises reinforced the knowledge. I liked the encouragement the tutor gave during the lessons to go and do the exercises. It really makes a difference if you do the exercises along with the course. In some lessons, I was a bit confused, but the Q&A helped.

I think that this course is a great course for statistics and mathematics.. With my current position though, I am not sure if this will actually benefit my current job.
By Sagar on 2/7/2026
Amazing course and each lesson consists of a lot of information which is direct to the point. Even through it's a short course, you'll get the whole understanding of Statistics. You might need to do some homework for understanding topics in depth but this suffices. Highly recommended!
By Diego Rubio Gutiérrez on 1/12/2026
Phenomenal course, with concepts very well explained. My only drawback was the assumptions section, which seemed rather rushed compared to the others, as it scarcely has any exercises and a lot of explanations are given without much depth.
By Nicoleta Coconcea on 12/31/2025
very well structured, good pace, clear & bite-sized topics, knowledge is built upon previous chapters. It is also great that the course includes all the resources for practicing - tables, examples, solutions etc.
By Arpit Mukherjee on 12/8/2025
Course is best and well structured but one topic which is relevant and useful for statistics that is Probability. I think probability should be include in a separate section otherwise Everything else about the course is good and intuitive.
