The Project Management Course: Beginner to PROject Manager (Udemy.com)
The Complete Course For Becoming A Successful Project Manager

Our take
Based on the ratings of 91,887 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in April 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
Ivan, the presenter for 365 Careers, walks through a project from start to finish: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure. Around that core sit a section on Excel for project management, Agile and Scrum, and a newer chapter on using AI as a PM. The syllabus shows 110 lectures in 21 sections, about 7.8 hours, 15 quizzes and a set of downloadable templates. It is built for beginners and young professionals, and the only requirement is access to Microsoft Office for the files.
Reviewers praise how clear and easy to follow the explanations are. The case study and the quizzes with written answers are named as the parts that make the ideas stick. The complaints are mostly about structure. One reviewer says the lesson order could be more logical and the course shorter. Another found some topics over-explained yet wanted more Scrum. A third wanted the budget lessons to be more practical and to start from the basics, and one person asked for the role play to work on tablets and phones. The one 1-star review in the sample dislikes the quizzes, citing typos and answers that come down to personal preference.
The numbers are lopsided in its favor. Of about 92,000 ratings, roughly 52,700 are five stars and 32,100 are four, and fewer than 1,000 are one or two stars. It was last updated in April 2026. Treat it as a quick, practical survey of the job, not a deep dive. First-timers will get the most from it, and experienced managers can use it as a refresher.
Pros
- Follows one project from initiation to closure, with a case study to apply each phase
- Includes 15+ templates plus a section of Excel lessons for the core PM documents
- Quizzes come with written explanations that reviewers say help the ideas stick
- Covers both Waterfall and Agile, with Scrum and an AI chapter, refreshed April 2026
Cons
- Some reviewers find the lesson order illogical and the course longer than it needs to be
- Scrum gets only about 45 minutes, and reviewers asked for more depth there
- Quiz wording draws complaints for typos and answers that feel open to opinion
The course was really helpful. The quiz, further explanation to the answers and case study actually ensures the learner's understanding of the topic.
Pitched at true beginners and young professionals; no experience needed, but Microsoft Office is required for the files.

The course is very informative and easy to follow. The explanations are generally clear and simple to understand. However, sometimes certain topics are explained in a bit too much detail, which can make it difficult to stay focused, and I occasionally had to go back and listen to some parts again. I think topics like Scrum could have been covered in a little more detail as well. Overall, though, great job! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I really enjoyed the course and look forward to taking your other courses.

Amazing, above expectations! I am halfway through and I've already learned so much. The concepts are explained very clearly with practical examples. the quizzes after each section really helped to reinforce the learning. it has been perfect match for me and current role. Great job.

e Project Management course was highly informative and well-structured. It provided practical insights into project planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The real-world examples and case studies helped me understand how to apply project management principles effectively in my day-to-day work. Overall, it has enhanced my ability to manage projects more efficiently and confidently.

far to many quizzes, quizzes have terribly confusing wording and typos and improper grammar throughout - often times multiple answers are correct and it's personal preference on the "correct" answer. This course would be decent if it removed all quizzes honestly. They cause more confusion and fail to drive home or reinforce key points to ensure people actually learn the material.

A well structured and explained course for the individual who is stepping in to or planning to step in to Project Management world. The topics are well researched and combined together, also the course has been updated regularly to catch up with latest affairs in the world e.g Using AI in project management.

Excellent course and highly recommended to anyone delving into the world of project management. Clear, concise, and the graphics kept me motivated vs reading through endless texts. Resources provided is an added bonus! Thank you, Ivan and Team!

This is more than its value, this course should be published for everyone who is interested in embarking on project management course. I am a certified Scrum master and I have had my certificate for 4 years though I haven’t used it to secure a job before. Now that I am ready to secure a job in project management, I thought I should brush up my knowledge before putting out my resume for that purpose and here I am, I stumbled on Ivan Vaptsarov course material, from the first and second video, I had to visit his profile on LinkedIn because I couldn’t comprehend the in-depth of what I was watching because I am been there and done that, even my first project management class wasn’t as extensive as this. I am happy I used this material and I will gladly proceed to using the SCRUM AGILE course as well to brush up my knowledge. Thank you for your service Ivan.

Overall, I look forward to learning new concepts, enhancing my understanding, and growing both personally and professionally through this course.

I had no idea on what project management was, but that has totally changed after this course. I suggest you take it with your phone rather than your laptop because it hangs sometimes on my laptop. But overall, this was very very insightful, thank you!
