Course Description
Street Photography can be performed by anyone who owns a camera. It's available everywhere for everyone. But this does not mean that it is easy. You have to be a complete photographer with the knowledge of the technical skills, but also building up knowledge of human nature. You have to see things before they happen in order to be ready for the decisive moment.
In this video training I will show you what is important when we are on the street. You can learn from my experience which I built up during the last 5 years shooting in the big cities of this world and teaching workshops:
- You will learn how to approach people - You will see how I do it in some making of videos - You will learn about the right settings - I show you what to do in order to increase your social media success
All is being taught with a lot of photos and examples from a practical perspective.

I am not a street photographer but I enjoy listening to Thomas explain his photographs. Thomas's approach is useful to me in other photographic genre. His lectures and explanations, more than other instructors, have inspired me and has made me think about what I am shooting. My photo's now tell stories, they fill the frame and I like the results much better. I am satisfied with my images.

I really enjoyed this class and appreciate the amount of sharing that Thomas did in it. He works his craft for the sheer joy of it. The fact that this course is free, and that his philosophy of giving away his photos as a means of gaining popularity and not dollars, is proof of this. The only criticism I might have is that they plain white backdrop was monotonous.

Boring course, presentations are flat and speaker voice is alike a sleeping pill. In addition, the most critical issues (such as approaching to people) would deserve much more room and practical examples. Definitely disappointing. Not adviced

Excellent! There are so many things that the instructor covers that I hadn't thought about. I now have a greater appreciation for street photography. Very good instructor. This is the best photography class I've taken on real life situations. I love the realism of this kind of photography. The instructor is excellent in getting his point across, and I love the fact that he uses photo examples to demonstrate his point. I've got a whole new appreciation for a different perspective which I plan to exercise. Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing this information. I also love your philosophy as to why we do what we do. Thank You!

Thomas is excellent, he has a clear view of Street Photography and he's able to share his knowledge effectively. As a fellow street photographer myself, I found his advice extremely valuable and I still managed to learn something. Also, he encouraged me to overcome a certain degree of shyness, only natural with street photography. I also share most of his views and techniques, style, the importance of composition and minimal post-production editing. I highly recommend the course to both, novice and experienced photographers.

I wish to thank Mr. Thomas Leuthard for the way he has explained every minimal topic which goes inside making of a street photographer. He has covered almost everything with quite a lot of examples from his photographing career covering all the techniques, rules, composition but missed a very little part of golden triangles. Expecting an advanced series to it as well. Thank you.

This course is very practical in terms of how to set your camera up, how to go about shooting on the street and how to incorporate an artistic approach with POV and lighting and shadow. Mightily impressed with the information and will use the course for returning to even when I finish it to continue with my journey with street photography. The quality of the presentations is very good as well as its overall content.

This course is really really great! By the end of this course, you will really have a clue, how Thomas makes his shot and what it takes to make great street shots. I understand mostly everything from a technical point of view. But Thomas also addresses the issue of how to get motivation and how to cope with fears. That really helped me! Thanks for that, Thomas!

The material is presented clearly although the instructor's understanding of street photography is so formalistic that the work of many of its greats (e.g., Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand, Helen Levin, Elliott Erwitt, Roy DeCarava) would be dismissed as poor composition and uninteresting, confusing work.

I personally found this course very valuable for various reasons. No endless theoretical discussion. Thomas goes straight to point, shares his experience, his learning curve, so we can avoid some traps and progress faster. I really appreciate the part where he explains how he approaches people on the street. To the risk to repeat myself, highly recommended. Thanks Thomas for sharing your experience and your views of the street World.
