Are you preparing for a System Design interview? Do you want to learn the best practices and techniques for designing scalable and distributed systems? Look no further!
Our course on System Design is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of key concepts and frameworks to help you ace your interview and excel in your career.
You should go through this course in five scenarios:
If you have a System Design interview coming up and want a quick crash course.
To learn about Software Architecture, Data modeling, Distributed systems, Databases, Microservices based architecture, and Cloud architecture.
If you are designing a new system at work, and want to make sure you get it right.
If you want to look at some case studies of how some of FAANGs and other companies have built their systems.
Look at solutions to some of the most common Interview questions
As part of this course, we'll go through some of the conceptual things, some do's and don'ts, and most importantly we'll be looking at some of the biggest systems out there and how you could design those. There is a good probability that your next interview has one of these questions either exactly, or with some small variation.

I've only watched one example from this course so far, but I already can say enrolling the course was worth it. As a developer trying to level my architecture skills to be able to handle more responsability in my current job, the instructor makes clear what each technology is used for, why he chose that specific technology and its pros and cons. Since there is a great amount of different softwares out there, this kind of explanation is great to learn what is the purpose of each one and how it fits in the bigger picture of the design. 10/10 course

This is a very good crash course for high level system design interviews and for refreshing your understanding of scalable architectures. The course focuses on real interview style case studies and walks through how to think about tradeoffs, components, and overall structure for large systems. I found the examples practical and close to what you actually see in interviews at big tech companies. It does not go very deep into implementation details, but that is not really the goal here. As a structured way to practice high level design thinking and get more confident discussing architectures, this course does its job very well. A solid choice if you want a focused and efficient preparation resource.

Overall the use cases were relevant and a good learning experience. It would have been great if: - there has been a digital writing pad rather than covering the whiteboard - at time the architectures were chaotic, a simplified architecture would given a good learning experience - a set of sample datasets would have given more practical learning experience

Sandeep explains things in decent detail, but there are many places where he glosses over why certain design choices were made. For example, I think he should update his videos to talk about things like: - explain why he's using a particular DB (say, Cassandra) for a particular scenario; despite having a separate video about DB choices, his choices are not always clear in specific scenarios - explain his use of Kafka better; what topics are necessary for each scenario? - do a recap in each video of components that he's referring to from other videos; it's difficult to context-switch between videos, so it would be nice if he very briefly re-explains a component e.g. user service, or notification service, or web socket manager, etc.

Hi, it's very very rare to find so much knowledgeable person on on udemy, plus amount of efforts you have taken to explain gmap segments, video call packet levels, and including very deep level discussion of systems, analytics, ML usage etc. this is best course i have ever found on umdey. 95% courses are superfacial. i hope you get time to come up with courses for microservices and cloud. god bless you. you are a gem techie and teacher.

Best system design course I have seen so far. Sandeep is doing an amazing job explaining the complexity and design principles of different software services we are using on a day to day basis. he covers a very broad spectrum of different software services with variety of use cases. After finishing the course you get a clear understanding of how different services are built and how they are connected together. It would be more helpful to have a basic understanding of different microservices elements such as cache, queue, load balancer, etc before starting the course.

This is a quality course that helped me expand my knowledge on system design. The high-level architecture is well constructed and split during the course for better comprehension. However the subtitle is sometimes failed to transcript what the teacher was trying to say (I can't hear the teacher well so I used subtitles a lot).

This course provides excellent insights into system design. A couple of suggestions for improvement: there are common services like user service, analytics service, notification service, home page service, and search service that could be introduced at the beginning as reusable components, rather than being repeated for each topic. Additionally, it would be beneficial to include more detailed discussions on how AI/ML can enhance the analytics service across different topics.

Very Good Content, only feel that it will be great if sandeep make little story for connecting the design discussion direction along with division of small block aggregately to complete design block. Sometime feel that discussion is too fast. But these are only contextual. Content and knowledge of sandeep is exceptionally good. Thank You, Sandeep.

It is most in depth, detailed, informative course I found so far among the courses I covered so far on system design. It also covers low level components which I have not seen in other system design course. The only point of improvement I see that it should cover for basic building blocks of system design as well like Latency, Throughput, load balancers, Caching etc before jumping into actual system design, like it covered for databases in the beginning of the course, similarly it should have covered above mentioned components.
