Course Description
TDD stands for Test-Driven Development. It is a software development process for developing an application by using automated tests as the primary tool for development. These tests are written before coding and are the primary unit of quality ensuring that coding is correct, reliable and bug-free.
TDD has become widely accepted by the TypeScript developer community as an essential skill in today's world of web applications, service-oriented architectures and desktop application development. The TDD Fundamentals in TypeScript course is a step-by-step TypeScript programme designed to make you a more proficient TypeScript Developer by teaching you the skill of TDD. It covers the fundamentals of Test-Driven Development enabling you to get up to speed quickly within the practice of TDD in TypeScript.
The TDD Fundamentals in TypeScript course is very hands-on: you will spend your time learning the practice of Test Driven Development through a sequence of coding exercises interspersed with theory. This course has been run in person dozens of times with a variety of groups, and through this process we have honed the process of teaching and learning TDD.
Target outcomes:
Understand what TDD is and why you would want to practice it
Understand the anatomy of a test, and how to write good unit tests
Understand and use the flow of Test-Driven Development and to use a toolbox of tools and techniques on what to do if they are not experiencing this rhythm.
Understand how high-level design and TDD work together to achieve great designs
Write Unit Tests for a reasonably complex solution that are maintainable into the future.
Take a requirement (User Story/Use Case) and implement the relevant tests and code.
Write far more loosely coupled code by using the appropriate Test Doubles.
Use the appropriate mocking framework for dynamically creating the appropriate test doubles

very easy TDD at first, but difficult to implement in the real world... I didn't know how to apply it to my own projects :S

TDD is always overlooked concept. Great demonstration of taking it slow, easy and solving the problems as you try to refactor it. FIRST principles and SOLID concepts are really helpful regardless of the language of choice.

So glad to have discovered this course. Many thanks to the creator. Even if you are exploring TDD and not fully sure where to start, this is exactly the course you should purchase. Should be mandatory for new joiner in the team.

The course is great, i've learned a lot from it. However, i do beliche the mock section needs a bit of work. Not the theory, but the pratice part. Needs to be a little slower, and to hand held a bit more to make it click the relationship between the mock test and the actual implementation. Even with this, the course is well worth it.

oh my god! how did I not do this before? I just had an incident at work and then I found out that a good unit test would have save me from putting that bug in production, so I knew I have to get better at testing the code and this is the answer!! So great intro and explanation about what TDD is, wonderful!

I haven't gotten too far in the course yet, but so far the material has been excellent. Extremely clear and detailed breakdown of how TDD benefits dev teams deliver projects and save time.

I love this course! It explains the practice of TDD in all its details and guides you to improve your reasoning. It describes the different patterns as well as the different levels of TDD use depending on your confidence in the practice.

El método del profesor y los ejercicios me ayudan en mi trabajo de día a día, en poder resolver más rápido los tests que fallan y siempre pensar en possibles refactors.

It's a great course I've never taken before, similar to the lecture given by universities, well-organized and full of insights. -- 1. The course addresses the most crucial concept of naming conventions for classes and functions that makes TDD meaningful and valuable in real-life development. 2. The course incorporates SOLID principles with the TDD approach so that the testing code and production are more maintainable. 3. The course is well-organized, from simple examples to complex problems. The class diagram helps and clarifies exercises. 4. Finally, all course content is thoughtfully written in a note for review later. Thanks for the hard work, and this course is one of the best courses I've ever had.

I have over 10 years of frontend dev experience and I wrote tests after code. Of course I knew about TDD, but I always thought that it's not working with the UI development. This course have opened my eyes, because it demonstrates the practical step by step approach to writing the test before code. I also have taken a look on another course about UI testing specifics, and that's it, I use TDD now.
