I was very enthusiastic about starting this course as I'm not able to go back to work as a preschool teacher during this pandemic for health related reasons. I'm trying to break into a new career field that will allow me to work from home without having to get another degree or getting into debt for training classes. So far, this course has been so very helpful! I've already learned so much about TEFL even though I'm only halfway through the class. I feel that this course, along with my BridgeTEFL online coursework are giving me a very solid foundation for launching a new career as an online English teacher. The bonus activities/resources alone give me more than enough potential class material to help boost my self-confidence! Am VERY pleased so far.

To my mind, this course is great for inexperienced teachers - such as myself - to get started on setting up their online lessons. It offers creative ideas for activities and presents some helpful technological features. I also enjoyed the teacher's pace and energy, lessons are far from boring. His tips on how to teach each skill and language system are very instructive and precious. However, one difficulty I have lies in the choice of the content for developing my lessons. I missed tips on how to create or find a syllabus, and recommendations of coursebooks, or some other guidance material.

A great match for me as an intro to teaching ESL online. Helpful not only with how to teach various aspects of English but also with which supportive online tools to use and equipment suggestions. Excellent attached resources and links as well. Only criticism is the stock images were clearly a stretch sometimes. Some live footage would have made it more visually interesting. Well produced otherwise. Very pleased that I took the course! I learned a lot. Thank you.

This is a great course with lots of very helpful information. I am currently an online English Language teacher with a cert in TEFT and an Education Degree in Elementary Education and a Permanent New York State Teaching Certificate. Like learning anything, one of the most important factors is the teacher and how he/she teaches. Charles has a clear and concise manner to his teaching style that keeps you engaged throughout each lesson. The content is very well laid out and flows progressively from the first steps in getting started right through to the more advanced topics. I didn't feel like anything was left out and can confidently take what I've learned from this course and put it into action. If you're reading this but unsure whether to take the course or not, I hope my review makes the decision clear!

Absolutely and definitely recommended. It gives you many good tips on how to teach the different skills and how to use interactive whiteboards, among other topics. Dynamic presentation, clear explanations by a great teacher, lots of resource material (thank you!).

This course was timely as I am in the proces of developing a professional development course ESL for clinicians. I will most certainly suggest that the participants do this. Most of the resources seem to be European based so that I will have to add some US and Canadian resources. That should be simple enough. This is an excellent orientation for the group. Thank you.

I have had plenty of experience in teaching. This includes English Language teaching. Right now I am not very mobile. The information in this course will enable me to teach from home. I thank you for the thoroughness of the course and the chance it has given me.
