So far the information on this course is presenting in a way that is very engaging, and relatively easy to understand - keeping in mind I'm a new learner to all things Ai. The course pitched well, easy enough to grasp the fundamentals of Ai ethics , but not so basic that you go away scratching your head wondering if there is any value in the content you've sat through, as it is too basic, and you do not feel encouraged to continue your learning in the area of AI ethics. So far, so good. I would highly recommend this course. The little quizzes after each completed section is a helpful refresher tool also.

Control Over Data: User consent ensures that individuals have control over their personal data. This includes understanding how their data is collected, used, and shared. Individuals can opt in or out of data usage, which respects their autonomy and privacy. Transparency: Obtaining consent promotes transparency in AI interactions. Users need to know what information is being gathered and how it will be processed, especially when concerning sensitive data like personal identification, chat histories, or biometric information. Mitigation of Risks: When users consent to data usage, they are also aware of the potential risks involved. This understanding can help mitigate issues like data misuse, breaches, or unauthorized sharing, which could lead to serious consequences for individuals. Ethical Responsibility: AI systems that utilize user data must adhere to ethical standards. By ensuring user consent, AI developers and companies demonstrate accountability and a commitment to responsible data usage. Regulatory Compliance: Many legal frameworks, such as the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), mandate explicit user consent for data collection and processing. Compliance with these regulations is essential to avoid legal challenges and uphold users' rights. Overall, user consent is a fundamental aspect that not only empowers individuals but also contributes to the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.

On several occasions, the text being generated using AI does not match what the speaker is saying, most specifically related to acronyms. For example, META is not "mehta". You should have had someone review this course before publication.

As someone who knows very little about AI, this was very informative. I thought it would be an hour of "why AI is the best thing ever" but it seemed to address both the good and the bad pretty equally and honestly.

Slow start but picked up and covered some good information at the end. While the audio and visuals are definitely AI generated it does feel like the course was thoughtfully designed. Although it says it was updated in March 2026, it seems like a lot of information dates to 2024/2025, so don't expect it to be up to the minute accurate. Huge missed opportunity in talking about AI ethics, data labeling, and the AI regulation landscape in Africa without mentioning the human costs of doing data labeling work and the trauma data labelers have reported as a result of being repeatedly exposed to the worst of the internet.

this course covers how to ethical obligations are associated with AI, however do not focus on governance part of it. Good for the beginners where this course also explains the basics of AI ML and Gen AI models.

By Lourival Giacobelli on 4/17/2026

It is good with a lot of information, but to many subjects that is not relevent by now for end users. It like you need to learn how to drive and the course explaing the internal combustion engine, car structure, type of tires, clutching, etc. Everything is good, but not for all. First explaing how to drive and if you want to learn more, those other aspects should be good to learn.

By Alex Resma on 4/15/2026

Yes, it was a good match for me. The course is easy to understand, well‑structured, and directly applicable to real situations. The content is clear and practical, making it helpful and relevant to my needs.
