I was new to ant and this course gave me a good start.

I am a DBA and I have to deal with Middle Tier. Vendor of application uses Jenkins and Ant. We have to customize things manually. I am hoping this and other courses will give me a better understanding so that I can be more DBA and less doing manual deployments.

Demonstrator appears to be on a unix environment and I am on Windows. So statements entered in the command window were not accurate for my environment. I searched through the readme and install files until I found the set commands I need and thought I had then set it up correctly. However, when I try to display the ant version I get an error. I don't know if I didn't install correctly or if again I need a different command for my environment than what is being shown by demonstrator.

Explained concretely and step by step. Also repeated some stuff throughout the lecture to re-enforce.

Pretty good course. If you don't know what ANT is all about, this will clarify it. Nothing too complicated, just the basics - which is just fine

The course doesn't feel like a "complete" Ant bootcamp. For instance more examples on the data types presented would have been nice. I suggest maybe change the title to "Short introduction to Apache Ant". On the other hand, I could see the length of the course before signing up. One hour doesn't give much depth.

its better to add how to install ant on windows and Linux as well ,but its not big deal . thank you . i think it needs to have more example like how to build war file and how to use test cases , for example how to create simple web app with Apache ant and so on . anyway thank you .

The course seems very mechanical right now. Would like a little more engagement. This course is being demonstrated on a Mac but most people use Windows. Would be helpful to have at least the set-up described for Windows. While we were informed to install the JDK there was no discussion around setting JAVA_HOME. If this has not been set then ant will not run.

It is clear... and it helps me understand what ANT means and how to use it... I am excited because I have tried to use ANT several times without really understanding what I was doing... this is just the help I need.
