Course Description
UPDATE: This course now includes 2 hours of new content entirely based on Advanced Topics such as SASS and SCSS. It is also updated to the latest version of bootstrap.
Welcome to The Complete Bootstrap 4 Guide, the only course you need to learn Bootstrap 4. There are a lot of ways to learn Bootstrap 4, but this course is without a doubt the most comprehensive and effective way to learn the latest version of Bootstrap. Here's why:
This course was carefully planned and took over 8 months to create
Everything I cover is up-to-date and relevant using only the latest version of Bootstrap 4 - version 4.3.1 final release (not an alpha or beta version)
I built a special Bootstrap Playground where you can quickly learn all of the Bootstrap Classes and Components.
The course is constantly updated with new content, projects, and lectures. Feel free to offer suggestions of what else you would like to see.
Don't be a code monkey, actually understand WHY we are doing something
Why should you learn Bootstrap?
It is the fastest way to build websites without having to re-invent the wheel. When building a website there is a lot of repeated code such as what a button looks like or how to make a website responsive. There are countless other examples, but all you need to know is that it makes your life a whole lot easier, especially if you are a junior web developer.
Throughout this course we cover tons of tools and technologies including:
HTML5
CSS3
Bootstrap 4 (4.3.1)
Flexbox
Responsive Design
SASS & SCSS
This course is also unique in the way that it is structured and presented. Many times instructors just show you the Bootstrap 4 documentation or worse they just jump right in and expect you to learn it along the way. This course is different. I have built a custom site called the Bootstrap Playground which allows you to:
Quickly learn the Bootstrap 4 class names
Be able to differentiate between the different Bootstrap 4 components
Play around with Bootstrap without a lot of setup
A quick way to compare my code and yours
And more!

From an early age I showed an interest in computers and tech gadgets. One day my parents bought the family a computer. From that day forward, you could always find me in front of the computer. Later I learned how to take it apart, put it back together, and upgrade it along the way. When that wasn't enough I learned how to make websites early on. Fast forward 18 years and several college degrees later and you will still find me in front of a computer. Now days I build beautiful websites and programs which inspired me to teach others how to do the same.

Andrew gets you quickly acquainted with Bootstrap. The first section certainly gets you into the swing of things quickly, although I wish he spent more time going over certain concepts like the grid system. This course is great if you have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS. I had a little prior experience in Bootstrap, but it really helped me understand some fundamental Bootstrap utilities more clearly

This course on the Bootstrap web framevork, is using a teacher provided app, named bootstrap_playground, written in html and css code, to demonstrate the properties of the bootstrap classes. It is a very engaging way to see the behavior of the classes at work. That is a neat way to learn bootstrap, and even learn basic front-end web. Way to go.

I had some trouble getting live server to work because I had not installed the extension "browser preview." also, I had trouble with getting window size to work but I looked at the instructions on "https://www.skillshare.com/classes/Build-Beautiful-Websites-Faster-and-Easier-Using-Bootstrap-4/667340891/classroom/discussions/103003"

I really appreciated all the work the instructor went to with creating the project files - wow, the Bootstrap Playground was a huge help. One thing I noticed is that no mention was made that the Bootstrap Popover and Tooltip components require Javascript to "opt-in" to them in order to work - each project file had the required JavaScript at the bottom of the file, but no mention was made about the need for your own JavaScript to get the components to work. All in all, a great course.

It is a little easier then I anticipated but still a very good course. I like the step by step approach as it allows you to focus on one thing at a time.

After reviewing the "using bootstrap scss" portion (3 videos) I decided to downgrade to 3.5 stars instead of 4. The reason is this is a good course for those who don't know how to use bootstrap 4. Having said that the bootstrap scss -advanced setup and overriding bootstrap videos for me was a bust. It really didn't teach me anything that I could use to be able to reduce the amount of CSS for bootstrap. I sent a request to the instructor for possible projects using both SASS and Bootstrap but got no response. If you're not a beginner this is a waste of time.

I use bootstrap for every project. I bought this course to make sure I haven't missed anything that I have self taught and better my knowledge with flex. So far, I really like the instructors pace and how he explains all details. I was also impressed how he uses a "bootstrap playground" to showcase and teach everything. I would recommend.

This is a great, very thought-out course. The effort the instructor puts in is very impressive and it’s impossible not to learn with the visual methods used in this course. He is very patient and thorough, there is no way this course could get any less than 5 stars from me.

Andrew does a great job of maintaining a steady pace while staying at just the right depth. Each video logically builds on the previous videos and the bootstrap playground is a major plus. I really like the approach of adding bootstrap classes to the playground site so that you can see their effects in real time.

This is a well thought out and extensive course. I have taken many online courses regarding web-design and specifically those that try and explain entire frameworks and I'm usually left confused and unable to finish. This Bootstrap 4 course is different. The speaker has nice, easy-going articulation that anyone can understand. The environment is easy to set up and you really take in some good information here. I have used Bootstrap earlier versions the last couple years and I took this course because I needed a general Bootstrap refresher... I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly I picked everything back up. 5 stars from me. Will look for more instruction from this teacher/creator in future. Thank you for this great learning experience.
