The Complete Da Vinci Resolve Course: Beginner to Filmmaker (Udemy.com)

It's more about functionality and buttons, interface functionality...not so much about the art of film making and the science of it.

The instructor was a bit all over the place. I did learn a lot would have been nice to learn how to do subtitles and timelines for youtube at a higher level. Voice was a bit annoying. Other than that i got what i needed out of the class. oh I forgot to mention color grading section was totally confusing.

It was good. The matter taught could be more defined into pieces. And sometimes , teacher comes to a part out of nowhere. It will be good if you stick to a specific part while teaching and a bit of improvement is also needed in the language fluency. Overall its really good but could be more fun and less boring. because at many points i find this boring. It really doesn't mean that it is not a good course the knowledge is there just could be more interesting and clear.

I am enjoying the course so far and it is giving me a good introduction to Da Vinci Resolve

it do is good for me like the one who is just going to begin the editing journey but i do expect more like the example video editing of the functions

Hi, This course was good but only for the beginners to get your hands on the software. I was hoping for advanced topics to be covered.

The training is useful for understanding the DaVinci interface, where the controls and features are located. It provides a nice overview of the tools. The command explanation focuses too much on obvious commands (you can't spend that much time explaining that text can be sized, bolded, ...) and flies high on not-so-obvious concepts. For many commands we see you moving the cursor but not explaining the purpose of the action. You declare some action (e.g. color white) but don't do it and then go back to making the right color. If someone has used other video editing tools before and is familiar with the use of frames, crossfading, etc., the training may be helpful in guiding them to the DaVinci interface. If someone needs training on how to edit a video by adding titles, effects, audio and so on, I think this training is not so helpful.
