The Complete .NET MAUI Bootcamp 2025 (Udemy.com)

developing .net maui app in Mac is not mentioned

Course is focused on .Net 8 with Maui. It needs to be updated.

This isn't a 2025 course, it's based around an older version of .NET MAUI and as such you'll spend the same amount of time looking for the updated (and correct) code as you will being able to actually get on with learning from him. Trainer also doesn't reply to requests for assistance from the people completing the course, there are questions over 10 months old that haven't been answered.

Students should have knowledge over c# and .Net first before take this course to maximize its benefit. Half of last section was lost audio (since video 57), is it just me?

The topics are a quite complex and very big. This course covers them in a little bit fast; it misses some theory concepts. The topics are exposed only in a pratical way (i.e. the code) but some theorical / graphical schema it would has been very useful (in my opinion).

Explanatory and Calm Teaching,

I reviewed again this course after completed the final section 9. Overall this course is fine, is suggested the instructor to include more visual diagrams upon content describing, for example at section 5.29, I have to refer to the diagram picture by James Montemagno's MVVM description at https://youtu.be/DuNLR_NJv8U?t=3411 to understand what is it. The same on section 8.51, the initial phase just talking without any visual diagrams which make difficult to understand and I just skipped to the coding part. For example, the instructor should describe in short such as what is nameof(), it should be "get me the string of the variable", because it took me sometime to figure out what is the purpose of nameof(). Same problem on Section 9, it is more advanced and not for beginner, instructor should isolate a section to read/write file instead, as I am not a fan of .json file. Finally, I just pick sections useful, ignorng unwanted and confusing parts. My guess the instructor could be "Daniel Gakwaya" but most importantly, please feedback questions posted, as this is very important in a learning process. Last words, you should have some knowledge in C#, watch several Youtube videos about .NET MAUI then follow this course so that you roughly have some ideas what is happening. Personally, I have to watch several times to get a fluent understanding, the entire course is not so direct and not all project source code are available for download, only the final section 9. At certain point, it is lacking explanation and instructor expecting you know the meaning yourself, worse is no feedback from the instructor. Hopes, this help. Thank you.
