The Complete NFT Web Development Course - Zero To Expert (Udemy.com)

This course was very useful. I've gained a lot of practical knowledge by completing this course and would help me in gaining further knowledge around this domain. There are a few suggestions I would like to make though for others who want to buy this course: The title of the course is not completely accurate. It does not tell you a lot about NFTs, and it does not take your knowledge from 0 to Expert. In fact, in my opinion this course assumes that you have got all the theoretical knowledge of DApps, NFTs, blockchains, Ethereum etc. It does not give you ANY theoretical knowledge about these subjects. So if you don't have any prior knowledge of these subjects, then throughout the course you would keep wondering that what are we doing all this for? So you will have to go somewhere else to gain knowledge on those subjects. This course does not take your knowledge to advanced level as well. There is still a LOT to learn on this topic which this course would not provide. So in my opinion modify the title of this course. The course is overall useful though.

Overall good content and the instructor did guide me along the way. Some suggestions: 1. Personally I feel the pace is too slow, even though I started with zero experience in solidity and nft. 2. I appreciate the fact that we reverse-engineered the openzepplin library to see the standards, I think it would be even better if the instructor can show us the way of using openzepplin in the end, that is the way of jumping over all the standards and safety considerations implemented from the very basic level, just to illustrate the common practice taken when building up a project.

This is my first time to have the video course online. I just finished all and got feeling of self-enrichment indeed. It is difficult to me to have any suggestion for this course but maybe I can share some I feel good: 1. the sequence of arrangement is perfect. All of the coding is useful for next step within this project but not just for a explanation. 2. Many bugs during the process is perfect. Many courses always show the good without any problem. As a programmer I believe we always learn much more from bugs. 3. Perfect explanation in every single term. Because of this I believe I will come back again when I don't understand any piece of coding. Thanks a lot.

Its a good course to get the basics from NFTs and how to work with them alonside with web. I am giving 2.5 starts because: -> the instructor doesn't understand good code practices in javascript -> code is difficult to understand due to bad naming convention -> code is not correctly refractored, causing one function to do multiple things turning it into spargetthi. -> the instructor uses unsafe/outdated React API for this project, writing vulnerable code. -> some of the logic should be hosted in a backend instead of frontend, current way exposes all the logic to the frontend allowing hackers to take malicious actions. You can't lie to the blockchain, but you can rewire the app to steal ETH.

Clarian is a great teacher. Really! This course is a pleasure to follow. Even if you start from zero it's a good course. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this course lacks some parts to accomplish the expectations At the end of this course you actually will have a simple web site with basic functions. I would like something more complete like create properties, create collections or sell. Don't get me wrong. I think this is one of the best course in Udemy at this moment on this topic. And you will have enough info to learn by yourself. I just think that it needs some additional parts to guide students to implement something that is more close to a real NFT marketplace. But, a great course. If you want to understand this world, this is a super suggested course.

Very good course, it is the perfect tool to start understanding the ERC-721 standard and all the different contracts and inheritance involved. It has given me lots of useful experience and I would recommend the course to anyone who wants to start developing NFT smart contracts. I am really lacking a better and real explanation on how to handle metadata and URIs for real use cases. The example of this course has a very restricted scope and is not how metadata is managed in most NFT use cases. How to link images and other media files to token IDs. Unfortunately you will have to learn this by yourself. There is lots of front-end on this course, this is a good or not so good point for this course, depending on your interests. I got a bit lost through the explanations because a specific methodology is explained with a lot of detail, but the NFT marketplace is then built in a fast manner using other techniques, which is not the best way to learn in my opinion. In any case, very complete and necessary course.

Fully completed this course. I have a few thoughts: 1. What is built is a portion of the ERC-721 Standard, not the entire thing. We built exactly what was necessary for the NFT Marketplace to function. Kinda sucks, but I understand not going through the entire Standard (I was just really excited about building it and wanted to continue building the standard). 2. The way web3.js is structured, makes it complicated to interact with MetaMask. If you are planning on building anything that requires web3, what is taught here is outdated (it works, but DO NOT use it in production). I ended up migrating to ethers.js to resolve the deprecated errors, which meant rebasing the code, learning a new way to access blockchain state data, and digging through ethers.js API, which is not very well documented. Overall, this is a great starting point. Would I go this route again? Yes.

This is my first course about Blockchain as a whole. Learn so much from it as I left coding around 10 years back and recently decided to pick it up after so many years. This course are design to be friendly to people that are new to coding or people with very limited knowledge. The introduction of every component used in every chapter does help us pickup the needed fundamental and logics to get going. The only part that I struggle are that Metamask updated to a newer version during I take this course, and this cause some part of the code shown in the course no longer works, I have to dig into Discord to look for solution on how to actually fix the updates. Other than that, everything work like a charm! Thanks and All The Best!

Excellent course! I really enjoyed this and learned so much from it. I did have to read other resources at a couple of points, particularly section (212) as Metamask would not sign in at first, but other than that everything worked as shown. Note that this course covers so much more than just NFTs and ERC721, it includes Solidity, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and a lot of general programming standards and techniques. It also highlights some very useful tools (and shortcuts) that only an experienced developer would likely be aware off. I will be working through some more of Clarian's courses!

Epic!! Clarian is one of the best instructor I could have followed on Udemy... The content is amazing, I learned a lot more about Solidity and doing our own Smart Contracts, even if we could have shortcut them by using Openzeppelin instead, it was an awesome exercise. Well having followed the other NFT Marketplace course, I would use some techies like Infura IPFS instead of a standard Img storage, instead of hardcoding the data in the js files. So to have both course, to dedicate some time to use the best of both will make a good start for a real-case project...It misses some important points I think, such as the possibility to "resell" the NFTs to other users, to add a login/registration modal to keep some important data of the users (emails). But really enjoyed the two courses...I will start the Solidity from Zero to Expert course now and next will be the DApp Blockchain from Zero to Expert course! I would be glad to see in future an advanced NFT Marketplace Course to complete those one to make them a real-case project by the end! Bravo Clarian, keep up the good work, mate!
