Course Description
This course is meant to both begginers and professional guitar players of all musical styles. Wether you play Rock'n'Roll, Pop, Jazz, Flamenco, Classical or Fingerstyle Guitar, this course will teach you the secret behind playing the guitar without effort and how to quickly develop your skills.
The "True Finger Independence - Become a Guitar Master" course is based on a few specific techniques inherited from some of the greatest Flamenco and Classical guitar masters of Spain, who unveilled the secret behind playing the guitar without effort. The True Finger Independence (TFI) technique consists of mastering how to control each and every muscle responsible for the movent of both hands and fingers in order to achieve maximum ease and speed while performing the guitar.
When it comes to Fingerpicking Techniques as well as the specific Left Hand Techniques, the Independent Muscular Perception (IMP) comes into action allowing you to understand how to move one finger at a time without activating any other muscle of your hand, improving considerably the sensation of comfort and easiness while perfoming any piece of music at all.
This course is divided in two parts, which are:
1) TFI applied to the Left Hand technique
- Pressing
- Hammer on
- Pull off
- Hand, wrist and elbow positioning
2) TFI applied to the Right Hand technique:
- Fingerpicking Techniques (Free Stroke, Rest Stroke, Semi Rest Stroke)
- Arpeggio Technique
- 2 Fingers Scale Technique
- 3 Fingers Scale Technique
In each of the topics presented in the "True Finger Independence - Become a Guitar Master" course there is an emphasis on how to apply the TFI on each of the techniques listed above. Also, some very important Tips about General Guitar Technique will be explained in order to create a shortcut to the secrets behind playing the guitar in a highly professional level.
This course was developed by internationally awarded Brazilian guitarist Lucas Imbiriba, winner of 13 Guitar Competition Prizes worldwide.

I've been playing the acoustic for several years now and this finger exercise feels like it just came to me naturally. I enjoyed the experience so far.

This is a great course. The exercises seem simple, but they are very effective and more difficult than they first appear. Stick with it and you will really improve your guitar playing. Lucas is a great teacher. He carefully and patiently explains everything and goes through it with you slowly so you can get used to doing the exercises. The exercises slowly build up your ability and improve your hand relaxation and independent finger control.

Great course, each exercise is explained slowly and thoroughly. I returned to playing the guitar after a long break and thanks to the course I was able to remember the exercises I once played at music school.

I would have liked to see the techniques applied in some actual music passages. Going up and down the scales is good for practice, but some musical passages would have made the course way more enjoyable.

Everything about this lesson is an incredible insight of the methods from his own and I love it. I wanna be the next bawler guitarist like this bawler!

The first technique exercise is new to me, but seems simple but disconnected to my usual plying style, and as such question it’s worth.

I would have included more samples of Lucas practicing as if we were a fly on the wall. It would have only added 15 minutes. Five minutes illustrating how he would practice one technique then another and then another. Through watching him practice the student would just apply it to all the other techniques. He may believe he was doing that when he was walking us through the scales but he was not. People would like to see and need to see as verification him actually practicing as if no one were watching.

I have played guitar for a long time, but just for fun. I think I have a lot to reconstruct to be a better player. I was 58 years old when I began and is on my 73rd, but I will try... I think, first of all, that he is exceptionally as a guitarist, and I trust that what he said initially is the correct way to go. I am absolutely convinced about that!
