This was a great, no-nonsense course. My favorite part about it is that it is made for people who already have experience with development. The instructor does not treat you like someone who has never used any programming language before, which is REALLY annoying in other courses as an experienced developer who is just trying to learn a new language. If you are a NEW programmer, DO NOT learn rust as your first language go learn python or something! Overall great course, I would recommend it as a great getting started package, although it is not five stars because it is still rather light and only brushes the surface of most concepts.

Enjoyed the course. Lots of learning. Was expecting to 'Lifetime' to be covered as well. Was on the ide till we reached the project.

I took the course because it's said to be retired this month. Great introduction, I just had issues to understand the magic of patterns in matches and how they let you refer to the expression/value to be matched. Maybe there could have been some better explanation because the "x if x < 1.0 ..." in the match in the main.rs gave me some "Perl" vibes - since Perl also has interesting yet on the first glance incomprehensible ways of implicitly having things provided.

Exercises in the repository out of sync with course material. Some concepts are rushed. The project at the end is way out of proportion to the basic stuff/rushed explanations learned throughout the course. But, if you pause and research, do the exercises in the repository (good exercises, with clear requests and incremental difficulty), it's a good starting point, and the game seems fun.

The Ultimate Rust Crash Course is a solid introduction that covers most of the essential ingredients needed to get started with Rust. The instructor does a great job moving through topics at a good pace, and I appreciated how many Rust fundamentals were touched on within a compact set of lessons. That said, a few sections could benefit from clearer explanations and smoother flow. In particular, the parts on "enums" and "if let" felt a bit rushed and could use more step‑by‑step breakdowns or practical examples to really solidify the concepts. Additionally, not all of the exercises lined up cleanly with what was covered in the videos, which occasionally made them feel a bit disconnected. Overall, though, this is a very good crash course, great for quickly getting hands‑on with Rust and building confidence in the basics. With a bit more polish in certain areas, it could easily reach that 5‑star level.

Nathan is a very good teacher, giving very clear explanations with appropriate visuals making hard rust concepts easy to understand. One of the best rust courses. Highly recommended.

Short lessons. Straightforward explanations containing parallels with other languages. Friendly and easy to remember way of presenting information.

The course brilliantly simplifies concepts often detailed in the official Rust documentation, allowing learners to master the material quickly—sometimes with just a single run-through. The exercises are incredibly thorough, providing excellent practical application. While a few of the crates are somewhat outdated, this is actually a positive, forcing the learner to engage with the latest documentation, which is a vital skill in a practical development environment.

Main lessons of the course were a great starting point for a beginner like me! However, one suggestion for improvement would be a slower walkthrough of the project with opportunities for us to implement features/sections ourselves. It felt too much like a copy/paste assignment at times.

I just completed the 'Ultimate Rust Crash Course' Coming from a strong C background and having recently read 'Learn Rust in a Month of Lunches,' this course was a quick yet incredibly motivating next step into professional-level Rust programming. If I could give it more than five stars, I would!"
