Overall, the content is informative, but the material is now eleven years old. Both Wacom and Apple/Windows ecosystems have evolved significantly since then, particularly in how tools are configured and integrated into contemporary workflows. At this point, the instruction no longer reflects current hardware, operating systems, or professional use cases. It would be valuable for Steve to either update the course himself or have a new instructor develop a 2025-focused version centered on modern Wacom display tablets and current macOS/Windows environments. An updated course would better serve today’s users and align with how these tools are actually deployed in contemporary creative practice. Dr. Parisi

Very good course! Highly recommended! David is an excellent speaker and the course sections were at the right pace and very informational. I am definitely one of those who only used my tablet on occasions and constantly found it difficult to use, however David's recommendation to not use my mouse and focus on using the tablet was spot on advice. It was difficult at first but I'm becoming more and more proficient with my tablet on a daily basis.

I’m on my second Wacom and never have taken the time to integrate the pen tablet into my Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator avocations; too busy trying to be productive to become productive. I’m naturally left-handed but operate the mouse right-handed. So I asked myself, “Self, why not integrate the Wacom into your work and simultaneously become fully ambidextrous by using both the mouse (with my right hand) and Wacom (with my left hand)?” Self said “Yes”! This course is easing the double transition (which is actually a triple transition since I’m also teaching myself to not orient the pen with a left-handed hook, the curse of many southpaws).

I received a tablet as a gift years ago when there were no online courses, I struggled trying to learn how to use it and did just as we were encouraged not to do in this lecture, specifically in the conclusion - loosing the first round to frustration. Knowing the tablet was not at fault, I kept it for the chance of another bout. In my recent quest for a new career I realized it would be a great advantage if I could learn to master it, then I discovered this course specifically for the Wacom tablet here in Udemy . I am ever so grateful for the clear instructions, the demonstrations and especially the encouragement - I know through practice and application, I will win the second round. Thanks so much. Best regards.

I think that price for such a basic knowlednge is too high. You can easily find even more than that on YouTube. I thought it will be more useful. For example I've paid almost the same price for 13 hours of PS course, so I have to say that it is a little bit disappointed.

I like the clear voice and the manner of presentation by the author. It's just that this course is too basic when compared to free courses from the Internet which can have more valuable content. It would be nice if the author included some custom tips directly gathered from his own real-world experience to set this course apart from others. For example, custom configuration he uses that is ideal for cartoon illustrations or for painting, etc.

The course was a good introduction and has given me more confidence in using my Wacom. It cemented what I already knew and gave me more tips. I have hidden my mouse away!! Need to maybe up date it with the latest version of Photoshop CC and I did have to keep stopping and starting a bit as I have a cintiq 13 HD and the settings appear slightly differently. Great pace though and Dave makes you feel very relaxed through the whole thing. Thank you!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this course! I've owned a wacom tablet for 4 years and haven't ever gotten acquainted with it until now. The pace of this course was just right and didn't make me want to rip my hair out because it was going so slow. YAY! Also, the instructor was great - didn't bother me at all. I've found that many courses are a bit difficult for me to get through because the insturctor's voice or teaching style drives me nuts. This guy was supremely neutral for my misophoniac self. Lovely! I deducted 1/2 point because there were a couple things I had to figure out on my own (like the tablet settings won't register your pen tool until you touch the pen to the tablet - I also never did figure out if my tablet would register touch. I suspect not but it still would have been nice to know that my tablet might not have that setting or how to fix it if it does) but I suspect if he had handled every little thing it would have made the course a bit slower paced and more frustrating. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks for the great course!

I just bought a Wacom Intuos Pro Large drawing tablet for my Mac and wanted to find a quick course to help me get up and running with it. This is my first drawing tablet and I was concerned if I would be able to master its use. I am very pleased to say that after viewing this course, I believe strongly that I will. Dave methodically works his way up from installing the tablet to understanding the settings all the way up to the more heavy lifting of using the advanced features. And if you're not careful you might pick up some great Photoshop tips along the way. Dave clearly knows his stuff and is great at communicating his thoughts and instruction. If you are having drawing tablet anxiety like I was, this is a "must take" course!

I have had a tablet collecting dust for some time now. I just had the hardest time getting it to work for me, and found it frustrating to have to go back and forth between my tablet and my mouse and my keyboard. This course solved all of my problems! I now use my tablet daily and it has sped up my graphic design process enormously. Dave Cross is not only a clear and thorough Instructor, but he obviously is a very skilled designer. I was surprised to learn a number of little tips, tricks, and techniques for Photoshop (a program that I've been using for nearly 20 years) that I was not aware of. Well done Dave, and thank you!
