What Finance Job is for You? Explanation of 14 Finance Roles (Udemy.com)

This course has very thorough information on different finance jobs available. I enjoyed the quick diagnostic for which role fits best, and learned bit about each of the 14 roles. I learned a great deal about how the different roles fit together in the real world but there was some lingo I did not understand. I still have many questions about each of the roles, but this is an amazing introductory course to help you get a big picture understanding of the finance industry.

Chris Haroun shares his road map to help you effectively plan your career in Finance with an overview of how the 14 analyst roles work together. I wish I had Chris Haroun's courses when I was in college for instilling the courage to explore the world of Finance because his quick 10 question assessment would have saved me what took me 18 years to discover on my own!

This gives some very good insights to someone that is already a bit familiar with financial analysis of what the various analysts' roles are. I would recommend this course if you are interested in learning more. The instructor is very clear with his methods to present the material.

I like that the instructor shows his face throughout the course (huge plus). Some videos feel like they drag but I'll admit I'm impatient. Chris shares info that I feel only an insider can know and that I value as an outsider. I like that Chris stresses relationships over product knowledge, and never fails to mention compliance. I enjoyed the piece on technicals.

Although interesting I'm not learning anything concrète yet. Thèse are jobs I am not interested in.

Great overview of personal/professional lifestyle, skills required and developed, and career descriptions for each of the different financial analyst roles. Awesome course for anyone who wants to go into finance but is not sure what position or where to start -- huge resource for getting a sense of which type of analyst your skills, lifestyle, and goals align with.

This course is a great primer to understanding the spectrum of roles a Financial Analyst may perform, and how they may interplay with each other. Having only worked in the engineering field for the past 10 years, I learnt a lot about what Financial Analysts actually do day to day. Loved the quiz in Section 2: "what financial role is right for you". I have a much better idea of what I would enjoy doing (e.g. Sell Side Trader, a Plan-B I am currently pursuing part-time) and what I would probably not consider doing (e.g. Investment Banking FA). Recommended for non-Finance folks who are exploring / curious about this profession !

Another amazing course from Chris. After taking this course, I can intelligently talk about basic roles in the financial industry and how it all ties back to the big picture. I am getting ready for a big finance networking conference where I will be meeting with senior banking executives. Completing this course has given me the confidence I need to have a better idea of what role would be the best fit for me and the financial institution. Anybody going into finance should take this course, it is a wealth of knowledge, well done and easy to follow.

Audio is very good. Graphic slides are well thought out and attractive. The presentation is engaging and Prof Haroun comes across as affable. A must course for every student studying studying commerce or wishes to pursue a specialised career in the Finance Industry.
