Detailed information and explained well for beginners

Instructor is clear what he will be teaching us. I appreciate him telling us if there are terms he uses right now that are confusing or unknown, we should give it a chance and he will explain more later in the lecture. I have faith in him and am letting go of some moments where I'm confused, anticipating it will be cleared up later.

I'm really dumb, I'm sorry great course so far

The course is listed as a "Serum - Sound Design Masterclass" however, what you get is actually very brief and vague. While the beginning of the course feels like you'll be learning a new aspect and then applying that in the next patch, this really only happens around the first and second chord sections. After that, the sound is mostly variants on the same thing.
While the course seems to be encouraging you to follow along with recreating a track, however, the instructor hasn't included the midi information for the tracks. If you want to know the chords and lead midi, you'll need to wait for it to be briefly shown on screen and copy it out.
For a synth that well know for it's wavetables, these are glossed over early on and then largely ignored in favour of using simple wave shapes (saw and square) on each of the patches.
The patches which you make throughout the course are largely light modifications on a single sound (in at least one case you clone a previous sound an only very lightly change it). While I understand the need to explain how slight differences in certain areas can change your sound, this feels a cop-out for a course referring to itself as a masterclass.
There were a couple of lessons that spent most of the run time talking about third party plugins for your DAW. While I understand that post synth processing is an important part of sound design, it felt particularly galling following lessions where whole aspects of Serum itself were skipped over as beyond the scope of the course. A course about sound design in Serum.
There's a whole section of the course where the instructor admits that they used the wrong Xsplit scene to record it, meaning that about 1/4 of the screen is taken up with a fully unnecessary facecam, which blocks parts of the screen the instructor is trying to go over. They admit in captions that this was an issue and their fault, and again in the next recording. It's clear they know they messed up, but couldn't be bothered to rerecord it.

It's pretty amazing the level of expertise in which the teacher has and also was able to share. I love how he included the Bus Processing section with Ableton. When he first opened the track in Ableton I was like wth ? But he even explained the how, why, and benifits of the Ableton arrangement with quite a bit of production tricks. 5 stars.

I am finding it a lot easier to understand how this synth works, it is explained really well.

In parts, this course is too lengthy and chaotic. But i know every button now and can work with serum at a new level.
