Course Description
*******Over 13,000 students are enrolled in this course*******
"Yoga As Meditation" is a process of blending with and expanding on what you are already doing, not a process of replacing one with the other. An increasing number of postural yoga teachers and students are exploring the more traditional meaning of yoga practices as methods of meditation and contemplation intended to lead to Self-realization, or enlightenment, awakening to the ever peaceful, joyous center of consciousness which is one with the absolute reality. This course is designed to be an introduction to that process, to the fact that yoga really does mean "union" of the individual self with the universal Self.
Yoga is a whole life process. Ultimately, there is only one Yoga with many aspects. Meditation is so much at the core of traditional Yoga that Yoga virtually IS Meditation.

YOGA is a WHOLE LIFE process. Although each of our courses has an individual emphasis, they go hand-in-hand with the others as one process of Yoga. We presently have 11 online courses published through Udemy. Swami Jnaneshvara is the presenter, and the language is English.
Abhyasa Ashram is a place of the heart rather than a physical place. It has the feel of an internal monastery and yoga meditation center, which practices universal meditation and contemplation as taught by the ancient tradition of yogis of the cave monasteries of the Himalayas, especially as transmitted through the lineage of Swami Rama. The tradition has no name, and is not affiliated with any of the institutions or religions of the plains of India or other countries surrounding the Himalayas, although individual meditators may personally align themselves with a wide variety of religions or institutions. We may refer to the tradition as "the tradition of the Himalayan masters" or "the Himalayan tradition", but that is for the sake of convenience, and is not a style or brand name as is popular these days.

Excellent course content. However, in certain sections the instructor merely read what was on the screen. While the content was excellent, presentation of content could of have better. I did like, however, those sections where the instructor was filmed interacting with what I assume was a group of students. Also, the consistency of the color on the video in those interaction segments was extremely inconsistent, ranging from full color to black and white. So, while I learned a LOT, I didn't give it a full five stars due to some of the presentation issues.

I like the way the material goes through intensive and precise explanations and recall . The additional materials available in the resources section help with reinforcement of what we have learnt. Unlike other courses (Like "Aum");this one leans on swadhyay more often ,I reckon this was made earlier in the series . Swamiji has a powerhouse of knowledge ,and provides great support online,it never feels like a virtual course! Thank you Swami Ji! Pranam!

Not quite as engaging as their later courses and a little dry with lots of reading whats on the screen. However, content is incredibly comprehensive, relevant, inspirational and valuable

What a wonderful course! It offers a wealth of information on the true meaning of yoga and how to approach it. The lectures are clear and concise. Some of the video clips are the best I've seen. It has helped my meditation practice enormously and will continue to do so in the future. Can't wait to start the next course by the same instructors. Thank you.

I am thoroughly enjoying this course. I am interested in Vedanta but this course breaks down a lot of the main points about meditation very easily, yet still stretches the mind. I would highly recommend this course to serious students wanting to learn true meditation. My expansion and growth are really growing exponential. I am really enjoying everything about this course.

This course is extremely well structured and pleasant to follow. Yoga as Meditation dives deep into the subject - the essence of what the subject is about with serious of practices like SoHam meditation with breath and yoga nidra. Authentic approach. Highly recommendable for anyone interested in this subject as well as for "yoga" teachers and experts !

This course fell into my lap as I was researching something yoga related online. Anyone interested in knowing real yoga as opposed to the westernized yoga as exercise, should take the course. We are extremely fortunate to have access to this for free! Obviously, much thought and preparation toward making the practice accessible and understandable went into this presentation. Thank you to Swamij and Tripurashakti. You have provided a wonderful service to the yoga community. Namaste.
