Ted Nemeth-Highly Rated Udemy Instructor & Professional Photographer
Hello beautiful creators! I’m a 3rd generation photographer + videographer. Before this career I worked on Wall Street for a few years (don’t hate me). Then I worked at two amazing technology startups. Great people great times. I learned so much. Then I became a world renowned leather craftsman! I had celebrity clients and private projects around the world and featured in major design magazine and the New York Times etc. But after 12 years of that thrill ride I turned my passion of using a camera into a profession. I tell beautiful & impactful stories through photo & video. Both my grandparents were quite renowned in the video world (Mary Ellen Bute & Ted Nemeth Studios). Such creative + inspiring people.
I’m also a passionate lifelong teacher so let’s teach you the basics of great images AND the basic business skills you MUST know to turn your hobby/passion into a full time business. LIVE YOUR PASSION. It’s cliche, but imperative.
That is exactly why I created:
THE BUSINESS SCHOOL for CREATIVES.
Let’s get started & have fun doing it.

Great course! I bought this course just as I started my food photography journey, knowing that I would need this skill in my Restaurant Advertising Agency. My photography skills leveled up over night and I'm already shooting photos for my restaurant clients, literally one day after watching the first few lessons. I can't speak for those with more experience, but as a complete beginner, this was just what I needed to get the fundamentals down. Highly recommend. Photography has been en unexpected, new found passion for me, and I am so excited to see where this skill takes me. If you're a person who's willing to take action and practice each lesson as it is taught, I highly recommend this course.

It was more than a “simple course” for beginners! It is an inspiring guide full of precious content that is really hard to find in other courses. Ted literally takes you by the hand and accompanies you through all the phases of this fantastic new world. I was moved at the end of the last lesson, I wished it would never end because at every step there was truly a world to discover. Thank you Ted! If one day I achieve success, it will also be your merit! You are a true and good person, you transmit so much optimism, so thank you!!!

This is exactly what I needed. I feel confident that I can use the skills immediately. And, I'm super excited to see what I produce. Ted is an excellent teacher because he takes his time to explain the details so that I'm very comfortable with the concepts by the time he's finished.

Nothing has changed since my last review. I still think that this is well designed step by step guide about the food photography. The teacher speaks slowly and clearly and sounds confident on that field. He answered all my questions I had regarding this subject. Well done job !!!!

This is a great course for someone who has no previous knowledge about photography. It covers fundamentals. I love making photos of desserts and my very mediocre smartphone photos got a lot better because I started to apply principles that I learned in the course.

I really loved the course. It was so informative and easy to follow for me as a beginner. I am excited to start on my food photography journey. I am a painter but want to expand my art in a new way. One thing I wish you could implant in the course is how to manage white balance. I think it was missed out. It would be so helpful if you could add it to the course. Thank you for taking time to make the course :-)

If you are looking for guidance and inspiration for your food photography, this course if for you. Along with lots of useful tips about good practice. There are tips for how to use your camera too, although I already shoot in manual mode, it did not harm to have a little listen and a refresh, having learnt how to use an DSLR a long time ago. The tutor is clearly passionate about the subject and the videos are engaging and inspiring. Lots of useful PDF's to take away from this course. I have done lots of Udemy courses and this is up there as one of my favourites. (P.S. he doesn't sell his own brand on here, it is all about learning, personally I find the courses where they go on about their brand annoying and not easily applicable to my business. Ted does not do this). 10 our of 5 Ted. Thanks.

His content is great through the first three sections, and then it becomes almost too basic even for beginners. He repeats himself a lot through the following sections, and the typos are a distraction. There's good content in here for sure, and I gained great insights. But as a whole, I was disappointed by the latter two thirds of the course.

I like the way he explains things but I would have liked to see more of how he set up different shots. He talks about light and defusing it but never demonstrates how he does this in his photos, one he takes on snow and the other in what seems to be direct sunlight. It would be much more useful to see more examples of how to set up shots inside for example. Also the quick guide appears twice.

If you are new to the world of food photography or a long time photographer, this is a great course. The instructor of Ultimate Food Photography course, Ted Nemeth, is really good at communicating the somewhat technical elements of food photography, in an easy-to-follow, way. You will learn how it all works: like what shutter speed, aperture, and ISO are, and how they affect your pictures. The basic of how to create lines in your photos that will drive the viewers eye straight to your subject. Great class I wish there were more classes like this.
