In a world that thrives on routine, “Creature of Habiit” is a reflection of the push and pull between comfort and chaos. The name was born from personal battles, the cycles we get trapped in, the patterns we repeat, and the habits that either heal us or haunt us.
At its core, Creature of Habiit represents the human condition. We’re all creatures of routine, shaped by our environments, our pasts, and the things we tell ourselves to survive. But there’s a deeper layer…the longing to break free. To question the script. To rebel against the loop.
The music speaks to that conflict. It explores the moments when routine becomes a prison and the moments it becomes a sanctuary. Creature Of Habiit explores everyday environments of sound…the unnoticed, the ambient, the raw…and transforms them into something meaningful. Each track becomes a reflection of inner dialogue, capturing themes of mental health, addiction, love, loneliness, growth, and identity.
It’s the sound of someone waking up, realising they’ve been on autopilot and deciding to take the wheel.

Used to follow Ross on YouTube was dissappointed when he left. However, to have this collection of tips and tricks in a single course is a godsend for Ableton users. Great techniques especially useful for those moments when you lack inspiration.

A Suitable course for both beginner and experienced producers. Ross concisely demonstrates that inspiration and good results can be found using Live stock effects and instruments. Experimenting and capturing the results with re-sampling is a good technique. It cultivates new ideas that you would otherwise not come up with. It also allows you to further edit and process the resampled audio. When put into practice you can come up with unique sounds that will help compliment and get your tracks finished.

Superb yet again from Ross. So many videos in this course to help workflow and quick idea creation to overcome any 'writers block'. The kind of course I'll be coming back to again and again and always finding new ideas.

He talks a little bit too fast. He doesnt explain things precisely and clearly. He is just doing things himself.

This course is electric!!! A very enjoyable watch - an absolute treasure trove of ideas to generate interest and creativity from anything and everything - this has just taken top spot in the ‘best music production course I’ve ever taken’ - there previous number one having been there for about 10 years now. Can’t thank you enough for what you have put together and shared here Ross!!! My plan is now to invest as long as it takes learning and practicing these techniques so that they are just there in my mental tool set as a direction in which to move and develop things when I am working on a track.
