Course Description
To clarify, this is not a typical 'how to be more productive' course. Instead, this training is designed to help you uncover what truly motivates you. By understanding this, you can set meaningful goals and dedicate your time to activities that align with your core values and priorities, allowing you to live and work in harmony with what matters most to you.

By blending psychological insights with practical life wisdom, this course unveils the secrets that set highly effective people apart from ordinary achievers.
The training starts by exploring the concept of motivation—what it is and how it influences our actions and decisions. We then transition to prioritisation, where we learn to identify and rank our goals based on personal motivations and values. Following that, we address strategies for improving focus by understanding the distractions that hinder achieving our goals.

Good course, with good info, especially if you’ve never heard about a growth mindset and mindfulness - aka avoiding attention zappers. It comes with a caveat though, and that is a HUGE CAVEAT! The course doesn’t take into account a lot of the daily necessities that just have to get done. Sure you can get take out every night - and you’ll likely pay for it with your health later down the track. You can leave the cat litter for your wife to deal with - until she realises that her partner actually doesn’t care about her or her time. Without putting some time aside for gratitude and appreciating the things that we have or that are done for us, maybe even in less selfish ways, … … and giving back to life / or paying forward some of what we receive, … … without that, we might end up like cancers in other peoples lives. Then later we wonder why they might feel frustration or even aggression toward us. No need to bang on about narcissism and whine about the (imagined) whining of others. That only distracts from otherwise good lessons that are useful for people who really want to learn. As to productivity - I was more hoping for a way to juggle a more complex live that cares about others while also making progress in my life. Naturally, I didn’t find much help here. As to people who don’t care, (as in nobody cares - which is a gross generalisation) I found there are roughly 4 kinds of reasons for this. 1. People are stuck in systems that don’t care (be that a job in a company that only cares about the bottom line, an algorithm (like facebook) that mainly cares about revenue and marketing, a family even, where people are affected by the issues below) 2. People are overworked and overwhelmed (a big issue for carers of young children or people in caring professions). Often there’s just no capacity left to give anything anymore. People need support systems. 3. People who don’t have the skills to show they care. Some might have come to confuse vulnerability with weakness. Some might have lived through trauma with no one by their side and struggle to communicate boundaries in a firm and still kind way. There are many more… 4. People who have the firm belief that nobody cares about them and therefore they are right in not caring about others either. Nor about what they leave behind for others to mop up. (the stuff they don’t even bother to look at in all their efficiency) Others are tools rather than people. And then there are plenty of people and moments where we actually care - that is those who haven't cut themselves off that emotion completely. --- And finally, if you also value freedom above anything else, you might want to consider if you really want a family or even just partner. Any intimate partner wants to feel “seen” and “heard”, not just used. Little children require an enormous amount of care, energy and patience. They don’t have the skills yet to be respectful of other’s time. And teaching is best done through role modelling rather than telling. The teaching needs to connect to what they already know, understand and can do. Little ones cannot make a conscious decision about what they want to learn, they just absorb, in their own time, that which they’re ready for. (Maybe we all do?) Children that grow up in a family where one of the parents NEEDS freedom and the other is overwhelmed carrying all the responsibilities, they end up growing up without anyone who can care. Often loaded with demands far beyond their level of development and skills they learn that no one cares. I bet in that moment they care very much about how they are treated. If, on the other hand, you do want a family and cherish freedom, you might want to consider calling it autonomy instead. Make your own decisions about how you want to contribute your part, part-taking in the mental load of problem solving, without taking away your partners right to autonomy. And then be very generous in your contributions because you can expect to still miss a lot of the things that are required when raising kids. Look out for them and learn along with them. Vulnerability, (admitting to not know YET, for example) is not a weakness. It can be a great strength, depending on what you do with it. Best of luck to all of you who care.

The main topics of the course are interesting, but they are not presented in a simplified and harmonized manner. The ideas and concepts of the session need to be coordinated in a better way In so many cases, the listener is left with different interpretations, as there is no directly and clear route to the core messages. In general, many rooms need optimization

the course is just wonderful and insightful. Its a course that I know for a fact that i needed to have even in my earlier days. In fact the importance of this course makes me believe it should be a mandatory course here at udemy so that everyone can properly understand him/herself better so as to make sound decisions towards living a better life.

I found this course at just the right time in my life when I needed it most. I've been considering some options for what to do next in my life due to some uncertainties, so I would have a back-up plan. Kain takes the student of this course on a journey to discover what is really important in life (an individual thing) so that we don't end up following after things that don't fit our core values, wasting time and money in the process. The workbook, spread out in multiple documents throughout the course, are extremely valuable to work through. I admit that I have a different slant on some of the things Kain says, but even so, this course is highly valuable and well worth the money and time to invest in for those who want a more efficient perspective of productivity -- because if we put our effort into those things which support our own core value, we will be the most productive we can be. Thanks Kain. Well done! =)

It's my second course with Kain. I'm not really surprised by the quality of the course as I can already expect such content and presentation from him.

This is the type of course they should be teaching children in school. It puts "life" into perspective and will be of high value to anyone who watches the entire course. It took me three sittings to get through, and at night I would relay the information learned to my husband, with excitement. IF only the whole world were as authentic and insightful as Kain. Thank you!! Looking forward to your other courses.

I have taken a previous course from Mr. Ramsey and found it quite helpful overall. I was inclined to try another. I have found Mr. Ramsay has a unique view on life, and how we experience it. This course takes a good bit of time dedicated to examining core values, and motivation behind actions. Once I discovered some of the ideas and beliefs of what might driving me, I have begun trying to make changes. Indeed, it may not be for everyone, as some of the drivers, beliefs, & emotions might seem a little simple on a cursory review and, if left at face value, it might not seem thought provoking. However, I feel if you go beyond that; try and look into the “why” you have certain beliefs and feelings, it would be worth your time. I feel these ideas and potential changes would take time to implement in life, and perhaps further time to examine more deeply. (Or maybe, an “Aha! Moment”, or 2) Ultimately, I found it to be thought provoking and somewhat enlightening.

I wasn't expecting anything close to what I've found in this course - I absolutely love and will most likely watch it again as Kain goes into so much detail about how to be 'genuinely successful' every single day! I've never considered some of the thoughts discussed in the course and will spend some serious time reflecting about the decisions I make each day (and also why I'm making them). If you are looking for some focus, clarity and further definition to your life - enrol on this course as it can show you how to really get ahead in life, without multiplying your to-do list! Kain is a really captivating instructor with a passion that's contagious - thank you so much for a truly amazing experience!

Many will learn the content of this course the hard way, over decades, if even at all. Save yourself (and others) the trouble and take this course and apply it. I feel the title of the course doesn't quite do it justice as it almost alludes to another "get things done" or motivational spiel, which this is not--though it will help with those things greatly, it isn't really what it's about as the lecture titles will indicate. The content contains a lot of wisdom that is needed by everyone, everywhere, and the lecturer is very engaging, clear, and enjoyable.
