Master Adobe Lightroom Classic & Lightroom CC (Udemy.com)

It seems OK at first but soon becomes very repetitive and disjointed because it is in fact a lot of individual courses stuck together. Each of the sections is clearly a standalone course so that you get the same descriptions of all the tools, gradients, presets etc every time you move on to a new section which becomes very tedious and means that in real terms the course is nowhere near as long as it claims to be. Even some of the resources are offered for download repeatedly as you move from section to section. I was hoping to get a full technical explanation of how the various tools in Lightroom work but although you are told what the tools do (over and over again), you are not really told how they do it which I would expect from a course which offers in depth explanation of how each tool works. Another gripe is that the use of English is quite bad, for example he repeatedly says things like foilage instead of foliage and talks about "linear lines" as if there is any other kind of line; this kind of basic lack of grammar and understanding of language is very irritating, distracting, and doesn't inspire confidence in the tutor. On top of all this it is very out of date. The "updates" are static pages describing in writing the changes that have been made to updated versions of Lightroom rather than any updated lessons. If this course was properly updated for recent versions of Lightroom with all the repeated information removed and structured properly so it's not obviously several courses one after another, I'd be unconcerned about the language issues and lack of technical description because he does know his subject and is genuinely enthusiastic about it but as it stands this course is not really what it claims to be, has hours of pointlessly repeated information and just feels clunky and badly put together. I really don't understand where all the 5-star reviews come from, possibly from the standalone courses that make up the sections of this course or maybe other learners have different expectations.

Chris explains things in a very concise but he still makes learning engaging and interesting. I considered myself not a Lightroom beginner and have learned to use Lightroom for basic adjustments before doing more post processing in Photoshop. I have learned a lot from this course, especially in Lightroom Presets and Local Adjustments sections.

Excelente curso. Realmente ensina como fazer e fornece as ferramentas para a realização das edições. O melhor curso que fiz até o momento. Obs.: Sou iniciante, portanto estas informações se referem a este nivel de conhecimento. Excellent course. It really teaches you how to do it and gives you the tools to make the edits. Corso completissimo e fatto davvero bene. Non si limita alla descrizione del software ma fornisce anche informazioni sui principi della post produzione. Inoltre l'insegnante parla abbastanza lentamente in modo da rendere agevole la comprensione anche a chi non è inglese madrelingua (ma ovviamente un pò d'inglese bisogna masticarlo). Personalmente ho trovato questo corso molto migliore e più economico di altri corsi in italiano venduti su altre piattaforme. Integro la recensione dopo averlo seguito per circa metà: è riduttivo chiamarlo corso per lightroom. E' un vero e proprio corso sulla post produzione sviscerata attraverso numerosissimi esempi passo passo. Utilissimo a tutti quelli che vogliono impararla a prescindere dal software utilizzato (anche se utilizzando lightroom è più facile seguirlo). Inoltre l'impostazione è da fotografo e non da smanettone il che è un altro valore aggiunto non da poco. Davvero eccezionale. Ha abbattuto le mie aspettative. Mi complimento con l'insegnante. Una persona preparatissima chiara ed intelligente.

At first I thought is the class was going slow, but there was a lot to process. Once we go to the develop module and challenges I was able to see how to apply much of what was taught before. I really like the images on correcting landscape and the butterfly as that is the primary focus of my photography. This is the best lightroom class I have taken. I Liked it enough that I actually finished it.

so fare so good, but you know i am using 2 different operating systems. i am watching your video through out window PC and using mac book pro and practicing what you are demonstrating however sometime i just need to see what you are doing on the keep board so i don't get missed up between 2 different system and when i see what you are doing in the key board i am sure it will excel my learning.

Oustanding course in my opinion! I loved every second of it! Chris is an amazing teacher and one of my favorite, not just here on Udemy (from 105 courses I've done on Udemy so far) but at all. I wish every teacher would be able to pass their knowledge the way, Chris does. I had some challenges understanding Lightroom in the past but not anymore. Thank you, Chris!

UPDATED FROM 4.5 TO 5 STARS UPON COMPLETION. This course is as complete and in-depth a course on Lightroom as you'll find. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the course to take if you want to understand not just HOW to use Lightroom, but WHAT the program is, WHY it does what it does, and every setting, feature, and mode. Thorough is an understatement, but this is a good thing, if like me, you want to know WHY you're doing something. Instructor knows the program inside and out, and by the end of the course, so will you.

This course is perfect! Chris goes over everything thoroughly, helping you learn how to organize your workflow and make the most effective use of your time in Lightroom. He explains and demonstrates all editing tools, shows you how to import develop presets and brushes and even includes a few for free with this course. You can practice along with him with the samples photos he includes for the course and rewind and review any video you want any time you need a refresher. Plus, he is very quick and helpful answering any doubts you may have if you ask him in the Q/A section of the course. I am so glad I chose his course! Will be taking his Photoshop class next.

I am halfway through this course and I must say Chris is VERY THOROUGH in his explanation. I especially appreciate the example photos that's available for download and how you can pause and practice on the same photo that he is using in the video. I STRONGLY suggest doing this course if you are serious about photography and want to use it as a means of income.
