This course provides knowledge on how to perform basic life saving treatment to people without a medical background. There are many scenarios that may occur in one’s life time that will require emergency medical interventions. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to engage in life-saving interventions if there are no qualified medical professionals in the vicinity.

This course starts by covering foundational aspects of emergency medical interventions, such as, a first aid introduction and basic anatomy and pathophysiology. This foundation is vital as it builds one’s knowledge and confidence when placed in a situation where life-saving medical intervention is necessary. In addition, this course will cover Traumatic Injuries and how to treat them. The instructor will discuss how to approach each patient, the correct chronological steps of interventions, and the specific interventions for different injuries.
