The four values of the Agile Manifesto

  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools.

  • Working software over comprehensive documentation.

  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation.

  • Responding to change over following a plan.

The following 12 Principles are based on the Agile Manifesto.

1-Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.

2-Welcome changing requirements, even late in development. Agile processes harness change for the customer’s competitive advantage.

3-Deliver working software frequently, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, with a preference to the shorter timescale.

4-Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.

5-Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.

6-The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is face-to-face conversation.

7-Working software is the primary measure of progress.

8-Agile processes promote sustainable development. The sponsors, developers, and users should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.

9-Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances agility.

10-Simplicity–the art of maximizing the amount of work not done–is essential.

11-The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams.

12-At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.

This was a good match for me. We use it daily and have for some time, but I never really took formal training on it. So, it was good to get it done. I would note that it is difficult to do with remote team members.

By Alex Gauvreau on 4/28/2023

As a software developer, this course illuminates a lot of practices that I follow on a daily basis with my team, and highlights areas of improvement we could make in our process. Excellent work.

By Arie van der Harst on 2/23/2023

Accent of the tutor difficult to understand what he is saying. It's not necessary to read out loud what's on the slide. It's important to explain what it means. Reduce mouse pointer movement. Wrong captions (e.g. Jira is zero) Put your phone away. The continuous handshake signals are annoying! Fibonacci; 8+13=21 (not 20...) Wrong orange title above slide

By Abdul Khader Shaik on 8/7/2022

The Jira theme that is shown doesn't match with the current one. An extra video about Burn down the chart, Burn Up Chart, and cumulative flow diagram, fish bone diagram could have been appreciated because they are often asked in the interviews

By Kenechukwu Nnajim on 7/17/2022

Totally Awesome. The live example with Jira is simply life-saving, I don't need to look for an online tutorial anymore. The concepts are well detailed and explained very easy for better understanding

By Rommel Gallegos on 3/23/2022

I'm expecting quite a detailed discussion on the example, but at least a recorded hands-on demonstration using the tools used in the Agile Software Development were present. This is a good course and an informative one for those that wants to have a grasp of what an Agile method is all about.

By Shady Botros on 2/18/2022

Thanks for this excellent crash course regarding the Agile methodologies. As a person working with the SCRUM methodology in my daily work, I found this quite engaging and meets the real-world market requirements. Keep up the good work

By Ola Adel on 2/15/2022

The explanation was clear and simple, makes sure that it is well understood by the audience. Also the course added some practical knowledge about the interview questions and it was very helpful for me.

By Antonio Langella on 2/15/2022

Tarek Roshdy didn't waste any time (lean approach :) ) . He was also clear and ensured the lecture were broadcasted in a logical manner to keep my attention focused. I was looking for a course that would explain Agile, Scrum, Kanban and so on. I believe this is just a start if I want to further expand my knowledge as a manager. Thanks again!

the contents of the course was excellent, however the trainer was training too fast and had no pause to digest the last information before moving onto next sentences. Overall course was excellent
