This course is designed to help project managers better understand the impact of these changes and re-orient their careers as needed to become a very high impact Agile Project Manager..

Course Summary:
The use of Agile methodologies is growing at an incredible rate, the basic way we do traditional plan-driven project management hasn't changed significantly since the 1950's and 1960's and the rate of technology change today is making a pure plan-driven approach very cumbersome and impractical to implement in many real-world situations. That doesn't mean that traditional plan-driven project methodologies are obsolete and no longer useful; however, within a relatively short amount of time, a project manager who only knows how to use traditional plan-driven methodologies will be at a serious disadvantage in the job market.
That's a big challenge for many project managers who have been schooled and indoctrinated in a plan-driven project management approach because Agile changes the very nature of how we do project management in many environments. This course will help you understand the impact of these changes and learn how to adapt your career to move into a high-impact Agile Project Management role.
Special Note:
This course is part of an overall curriculum that is designed around helping students develop the skills required for a high-impact Agile Project Management role. Most students will want to take the complete curriculum rather than individual courses. The complete curriculum should be taken in the following order:
Agile PM 101 - Learn the Truth About Agile versus Waterfall
Agile PM 102 - What's the Future of Agile Project Management?
Agile PM 201 - Understanding Agile at a Deeper Level
Agile PM 202 - Introduction to Agile Project Management
Agile PM 301 - Mastering Agile Project Management
Agile PM 401 - Advanced Agile Project Management
Agile PM 402 - Enterprise-level Agile Project Management
Students who complete the entire curriculum of all seven courses shown above will receive a signed certificate of completion from the Agile Project Management Academy. The complete set of seven courses will also meet the 21 hours of training required for PMI-ACP certification.

It's a good series and I really like how some of the lessons are followed-up / reinforced with real world case studies where you can see the concept being applied. The only issue that I have found is that some of the quizzes reference things that come later in the course. The example off the top of my head is in Quiz 2 or 3, there is a question or two about how we look at Physics can be a facsimile of Waterfall style Project Management. That lecture though that references that example doesn't appear until the second to last lecture of the course. Overall though, 4/5 stars!

This course expands and builds very well on top of the first course in the series, "Agile PM 101 - Learning the Truth About Agile versus Waterfall". Make sure you take them in order. It prepares for the complexity and richness of this course. I am learning a lot and enjoying this course very much. The pace and the building blocks are well designed. Chuck, you and your learning design team are awesome.

Great content and the case studies are really helpful as it helps you to apply what you have learned here and play out different scenarios. The only downside to this course the number of Quizzes (11 of them ) after every topic. I would have preferred to have 1-2 Quizzes at the end of training rather than spreading them throughout the course. It would be nice to have all 7 courses in a bundle so that we don't have to enroll separately ! If not for these two things I would have given this course 5 Stars !!

Overall valuable course. Good - Has 1080p videos. Good - Consistent volume levels. Good - Clear audio quality. Good - Vocal speed fast enough at 2x. Improve - Include transcripts. Improve - Include captions. Improve - Include single PDF of course notes slides. Improve - Include single zip download of all resources. Improve - Quizzes are too frequent. Good - Minimal visual/audio distracting gimmicks. Good - Minimal reading material (using video to cover most topics). Good - Minimal intros/outros to reduce time waste.

This course gives a comprehensive overview for agile and waterfall approach and how to combine in Hybrid approach considering needs of dedicated project. For me it was really beneficial for my daily work, where we also try to find best approach coming from waterfall moving to agile and idetify need for a Hybrid approach. Thank you very much, I will proceed with the complete package with 7 courses

This course really opened my eyes and made me understand much better there’s no one project methodology that fits all. It is a matter of blending methodologies to fit a given situation and especially deliver business value. This is an excellent course and I recommend to everyone working in Project Management.
By Natalie Young on 5/18/2020
I like that this course looks at both the advantages and disadvantages of Agile and Waterfall approaches to project management. I also appreciate that it discusses the possibility of using a hybrid approach that combines the two. Evaluating each project individually seems to be a more logical approach. I like the idea of evaluating each project and using the best methodology to achieve the project goals.

At first the material seemed a bit repetitive and covered areas in the first course. But as the course unfolded, it transitioned nicely to cover fundamentals of where Agile Project Management is as a whole today. I am an experienced Agile practitioner who is finding the refresher on the marriage between traditional project management and agile practices very useful and hugely relevant to the challenges we face day to day.
By Matthias Krakovsky on 10/2/2019
I have done hybrid project management intuitively the correct way and learn now a lot of buzzwords letting me better exchange my experience with other professionals. The envelop around an agile project and the description of the inception allow me to more clearly reflect about selected approaches and the need of formalization depending on those approaches for futur projects.

This was a terrific course! It helped me to understand concepts of how to apply the appropriate blended predictive/adaptive approach to a project. Also the format was very helpful, where reading the written course notes provided, along with listening to the lecture, together helped in gaining/understanding/retaining information.
