Course Description
This course will provide you with the essential knowledge and techniques to successfully perform in any Scrum-related role or environment.
It is ideal for those who may be involved in a Scrum initiative for the first time and who need to be immediately effective, or 'traditional' Project Managers who wish to learn about alternative agile-based approaches to product delivery in order to widen their range of skills, capabilities and employment prospects.
The agile-based approach is covered in depth, and compared and contrasted with more traditional, waterfall-type project management in order to clearly highlight the benefits associated with iterative, incremental Product delivery.
A pragmatic, step-by-step approach is taken throughout the course in order that the student can quickly understand and subsequently utilise core Scrum concepts. All key processes, roles, artifacts and events are first explained to provide a foundational knowledge and understanding, and then incorporated in an example project that takes the student through all key stages of a Scrum initiative.
Throughout the course, 'real-world' behaviour and practises are highlighted to prepare students for what they might encounter in the business world, and enable them to adapt as required.
Quizzes are included to test your knowledge, and subtitles are available that can be displayed below the screen to avoid obscuring lecture information.
Finally, on successfully finishing the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in recognition of your newly-acquired knowledge and skills.

the section 1 quiz asks about things that aren't covered until section 2 I appreciate the discussion about how these practices are often implemented in reality, but the course assumes that these will work exactly the same without covering how these changes impact the processes and results

I enjoyed having the quiz per section and not at the very end of the course. It helps identify the points that need further attention right the way.

Taking this course was a very good match for me. The concepts were explained clearly and aligned ell with real-world Scrum practices, which helped me connect theory to practical scenarios. The quizzes and examples reinforced my understanding and corrected common misconceptions. Overall, the course met my expectations and strengthened my confidence in applying Scrum principles in a real project environment.

The professor was amazing; he broke down what Scrum is and how it works in the real world, providing real-world examples. I am leaving the course with a better understanding of what Scrum Agile is.

I worked in Agile Scrum methodology in my previous projects too but in these chapters all the areas which went unnoticed by us have been understood in well manered

This is the best course about agile development that I have attended. However, I would like to see the following topic to be addresses: in some projects with high level of formalism being requested to meet prescribed standards, each iteration/increment must include definition of SW requirements, definition/update of SW architecture, SW detailed design and corresponding tests. How to practically apply AGILE methods in such projects?

I was an absolute beginner. Knew next to nothing about it. I took this course in a weekend and feel extremely well prepared to go into the scrum environment I'll be working in tomorrow. The course is VERY well designed, having the information build on each other, example scenarios, meetings, and charts. There isn't fluff or lots of "ummss" or "ahhs" as the lecturer thinks of what to say like I saw in intros to some of the other courses that came up with a search for scrum. To the point, insightful, real world, excellent preparation. In a word-Fantastic!

Mr. Jones did a fantastic job in covering the necessary Scrum information in order to be a viable member of a Scrum Team. His lectures, handouts, and real life examples were upbeat and thorough. A very enjoyable course.

If you are like me hearing about Agile Scrum and how useful it would be to learn BUT you don’t have any / or just have a vague idea what it is, then I would highly recommend this course. I’m a rookie in the IT field when it comes to developing, but I found this course enlightening:) • it is clearly explained, so you can understand the work phases and the processes • it uses real life examples • the tests were useful for me to consolidate what I’d learned • it provides you with a practical knowledge and overview of Agile Scrum from where you can sprint on I’m grateful for the tutor Lee Jones for developing and delivering this excellent training course.

Brilliantly described various methods and techniques used in Scrum. Sharing of lecture slides was an added for bonus for future referencing. Room for improvement - can use less text and focus more on delivery of content.
