I am a senior I.T. consultant with over 30 years experience in the I.T. industry. My early career was spent in the UK, working in roles utilising my Physics degree, prior to commencing in I.T. as a Programmer for British Airways where I was responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of aircraft engine system software. I subsequently moved into consultancy as a Business Analyst, acquiring an MSc. degree in Business Systems Analysis and Design, and then into project management. I have since been responsible for the successful delivery of major, multi-million dollar projects for some of the largest organisations in New Zealand and the UK. 

Since early 2001, I have specialised in portfolio, programme and project management (P3M), with a particular emphasis on the setting up and running of PMOs, combining best-practice methods with supporting portfolio management software to provide effective management and governance of I.T. project portfolios. I also provide project management training and mentoring (both traditional and agile-based) to varied clients, tailored according to specific requirements.

I've always winged project management from what I learned in all my places of work. Now being at the director level I needed a quick condensed training as I plan for summer projects and next years budgets. While what I learn through experience go me by, this course filled in a lot of holes and perspectives that will greatly lift the way I manage projects. Very well laid out, clear and taught will examples to explain concepts. Quizzes reinforce the knowledge retention. Thanks!!

First of all, it is a good idea for me taking this course, so that I have some knowledge of I.T. Project Management. By this I think I would gradually pick-up and gain some knowledge about I.T. Project Management before the end of this course.

Hi Lee, I liked the way you have explained everything in simple & easy language and deep explanation of each and every step involved in project management. Quizzes are very simple . You can make those more challenging :)

Over all it was a very knowledgeable learning experience. The most notable downfall was that the Quiz's should provide an explanation as to why a answer was correct or wrong, especially since half the course has no Resources to reflect back on. As i said though the course all in all was Good. Thank you for the experience.

A very knowledgeable course! As a beginner, I was glad that I took up this course as everything here has been explained from scratch and this is exactly what I needed. This, however, does not have a lot of I.T. specific content. But overall, thanks a lot, learnt so much!

So far the presentation is very clear, comcise and straight to the point. The delivery was quite accurate. I may not be certain about the quality of the programme, because of the depth, being a beginners guide. Project management subject is not very exciting, but the instructor made it clear and to the point covering the main project management topics to a good standard. If you are considering becoming a project manager then this is a good introduction.
