I’d give this course 3 stars. It’s not terrible, but I honestly don’t think it’s worth more than that. The biggest problem for me is that there’s way too much filler. The course is much longer than it needs to be, and a lot of the time it feels like you’re spending ages on things that could’ve been explained much quicker. There’s also quite a bit of repetition and unnecessary stuff that doesn’t really add much to what you’re supposed to be learning. I expected to come out of the course with a lot more knowledge considering how long it is. Instead, it feels like the actual useful content is buried under a lot of extra material. It’s not completely useless, and there are definitely things you can learn from it, but the pacing and amount of filler really hurt it for me. If the course was shorter and focused more on the important stuff, I’d rate it higher.

Instructor Bio

Hello! I'm Ahmed Nassef, a game developer who is incredibly passionate about making cool experiences and teaching others how to do the same.

It all started when I learned Scratch at the small age of 12. Since then, I've been obsessed with game development. I realized there's really nothing cooler than designing my own worlds and stories - creating a fulfilling experience that others can enjoy.

After graduating from Computer Science with honors, I started my career as an indie game developer making fun educational games for children, then moved on to making neat webgames and open-source applications. Finally, I became an instructor teaching kids programming and game development - a path that led me here to GameDevtv.

My hobbies include writing & blogging, playing the piano, reviewing graphic novels, and playing video games (duh)!
