Course Description
If you have never animated in 2D before but always wanted to try or just want to polish your skills, this course is a great way to learn the foundational
principles in a fast and fun way. If you ever wondered how or why an animation goes from passable to professional to perfect then this is the course for you. Understanding these basics will give you the skills to make fun and eye catching animation using nothing more than a single line.
This course is designed so you take one step at a time starting with spacing and easing then later moving on to the principles of drag and overlap. The final task will be hand drawing the legs of a walk cycle. The software used is Flash (now called Animate CC) but you can adapt these principles to any 2D animation software. The advantage with this animation workout is that it does not require drawing skills, if you can draw a line you can start animating straight away!

The instructor sounded very dull but other than that the course is amazing, would only recommend for kids above the age of 10 as the lessons tend to get a little boring.

At first I was uneasy, or curious If I'd made a mistake simply because the presentation wasn't as... Overly chirpy, and passionate as I'm used to with other courses. But immediately I realized that this course is a gem, because through it I am learning fundamentals, in an effective way so that I can train an effective eye. The work put into simply copying the instructor will seep into all animations I do. So, pay attention and have fun. It's also so easy in the skill department that it really is a pure eye training endeavor, which is nice, because I'm not held back or hindered by lack of technical facility, whether in the software (I'm using Krita, because it's free!) or drawing. Point of feedback, however, is that it is simply quite boring. I understand that fundamentals are as they seem, and they're vital to success. But I found it difficult to get excited for the lectures or activities. I don't quite know how this would have been better delivered, but perhaps some sharper editing and quickening of the tempo, or some real world examples being analyzed could re-ignite and inspire again.
