Course Description

Welcome to the ARM Assembly Programming Ground Up™ 2 course.

With a programming based approach, this course is designed to give you a solid foundation in bare-metal firmware development for  ARM-based microcontrollers . The goal of this course is to teach you how to navigate the microcontroller reference manual and datasheet to extract the right  information to professionally  build peripheral drivers and firmware. To achieve this goal, no libraries are used in this course, purely ARM Assembly Language.

By the end of this course you will be able configure microcontroller peripherals  like ADC, UART,PWM, GPIO, TIMERS,  etc.  You will also master the ARM architecture, ARM Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) and building professional embedded firmware in assembly for ARM processors.

Specially Designed For People Who Hate Copy/Paste

Listen. If you don’t like “Copy/Paste” you’re not alone. I can’t stand it either. I’d literally rather have a piece of code that I wrote from scratch that doesn’t work than someone else’s working code I copied and pasted.

And that’s why I’ve spent months designing and recording this course in which I show you how to locate every single register used and the meaning of every hexadecimal value written into the register.

Some Highlights

----------------------------

Write ADC Drivers in Assembly Language

Write UART Drivers in Assembly Language

Write GPTM Drivers in Assembly Language

Write GPIO Drivers in Assembly Language

Master the ARM Instruction Set

Master the Thumb and Thumb-2 Instruction Sets

REMEMBER : I have no doubt you will love this course. Also it comes with a  FULL money back guarantee for 30 days!  So put simply, you really have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

The course was very good in general, step by step and with great teaching. But it lacked the PWM part as promised in the course description. Also in the ADC part, it could better explain each parameter extracted from the reference manual and detail the practical part more.

This is an excellent course and I can't find any courses that are better than this, that's why I rate it a 5/5. The only problem is that it's missing two sections promised in the description, the PWM and the interrupt section. I hope Israel updates this course to include the following sections!

Great Course for anyone who is going to become a professional embedded software engineer or need to learn ARM. 1. Instructor is very knowledge and patient with all details for all skills that needed in real world. 2. Contents are well organized and clear like a crystal. Great thanks for the instructor's dedicated lectures and materials. 3. If a interrupt lesson would be added here, that would be more helpful. Or just add interrupt in the lesson of timer.

Lots of useful information, although sometimes presented in very chaotic way.

I feel like some of the content is missing. I would have liked to learn about PWM and also introduction to interrupt handling.

Let me finish the course to perhaps rate better; so far, the course is very informative.

Just finished section 5, and am quite frustrated. The UART code called from C could not be developed using the method shown here, in STM32CubeIDE/GCC toolchain. Completely different binding functions, but no hint offered, though he has a lecture showing us how to setup the course using STM32CubeIDE and GCC. The systick lesson was quite confusing, with a sudden introduction of unknown commands PUSH and POP to make the code work, without explanation. Even the SysTickInit function was completely unnecessary, as each time we set up the systick counter to delay, as per the documentation we should be disabling the counter, reloading the countdown value, clearing the current counter and enabling it. Seriously, minutes are spent talking about loading and storing of registers and the position of the 1 in the bitfields, but some magic PUSH and POP instructions are inserted at the end to make the code work without even a word of explanation ??! Yes, I know, several mentions of "other courses offered" in each video. I would give a 1 for my level of frustration, except that the course was heavily discounted, and I did learn a little.
