Course Description

This is an unprocessed, unfiltered live session of a real student that has no knowledge of Autodesk Fusion (previously known as Fusion 360).

The Learn It! channel is happy to teach Dan how to go from ZERO to HERO in his quest to learn Fusion 360. His goal is simple: get to the point of learning how to run his CNC plasma cutter.

Hi my name is Tai. I started running machines at the age of 12, started running CNC machinery at the age of 15, and for the next 20 years have run some of the finest CNC equipment that is produced in the world. Now I teach Autodesk Fusion in classroom settings, private one-on-one classes, and have my own YouTube channel were I teach Autodesk Fusion.

Dan will learn how to navigate Autodesk Fusion, create basic to complex 3D models, learn many tools throughout the process, and finally get to the end of his quest of using Fusion to run his plasma CNC. He asks many questions along the way which are the exact same questions that you might ask if you had one-on-one instruction.

So, if you're in the same position or have the same goal, then this series is for you.

Oh, and yes, he is using the Personal License of Fusion 360.

Ty is a Great instructor and I enjoy his teaching style. I am a little farther along but not too much and I struggled a lot to get to where I am at!! I wish I had found this course when I first started. So when Dan is struggling it makes me smile, I wish I had found this course several months ago, I would certainly have less grey hair now. Other so called beginner courses don’t tell you about some small things like the “Escape Key” that was very frustrating, I think you know what I mean ! Good job Ty

I found this course extremely useful. If you're looking for a fast pace or are already Fusion proficient then this is not the course for you ( or maybe it is as we can all pick up tips and shortcuts along the way) The teaching method Tai used by teaching Dan in real time works well for me as it gave me time to take in what was being taught much as the experience that you receive in a classroom situation. I was looking for a way (much like Dan to teach myself Fusion) and got lost in some of the fast paced tutorials that are on the internet. Tai teaches how to start from the very basics and as with building anything properly, the foundations at the beginning give the techniques to produce quicker and long lasting results. Thanks Tai and Dan - enjoyable and informing.

It's a good course, I wanted something to learn sketching and the basics in a structured way. It's definitely beginner level and you learn along with the student so its an interesting approach, can be a bit slow in parts but just speed up the videos and you should be fine. By the end I really understood constraints and simple extrusions and mirroring which really helped me with a few sketches. There is some CAM/CNC stuff in there but I'm not really using that at the moment. Overall its a good structured tutorial. It's based off some youtube videos but its worth the money (paid half price). I would not have been happy to pay the full price for it, considering what you get in here. It's a good foundation but you feel like you need a few more tutorials/designs to really get going and lay in the foundations. There are more on his patreon/youtube channels so really treat this a springboard into further learning, not a complete beginners course. As others said last 3 videos were really the same thing with a bit of further work on a new wrench design. Overall his approach and teaching style is fine, clear enough.

This is a good course from ground zero learners. Tai takes a different approach with his method as he guides a new learner with sketching up a part to be CNC'd. I had a decent amount of prior knowledge prior to this course, however, i did takeaway key points and different approaches to sketching from these lessons because I was never formally trained. I am now a better sketcher because of this.

Super duper videos and Tai is an excellent teacher. I have benefited greatly from following the course. Especially the understanding of constraints, but I have also gained a good understanding of Fusion in general. I look forward to following more courses. Best regards Novice Flemming ;-)

I found this course to be just what I needed to learn the basics of Fusion 360. I hope there will be more courses that will further the foundation I established by taking this class. I would like to learn more about Fusion 360 in order to become an advanced user, and then become a pro. Thank you! Excellent job!

This was perfect for me. I'm usually a slow learner and not very patient. For some reason when I tried to watch other videos on youtube, it was like learning from someone in a language I dont understand. I found the free video by "learn it" and learned so much I had to get the rest. now I know enough to understand most of the youtube videos out there that often leave out important micro steps. Great teaching style!

As a basic learner, I learned some of the initial concepts needed. I will be using this along with 3D printing so it's a start.

Tai is an awesome teacher. I’ve been trying to learn Fusion CAD/CAM for about 2 years. His videos from the learn it channel have made Fusion seem easy. Very talented teacher. Please more content, I want to mill on my future CNC
