I've been a System Administrator and full stack developer for over 10 years, the typical profile for a DevOps engineer. I've been working in multiple organizations and startups. I've cofounded a startup that focusses on applying DevOps and Cloud. I have been training people in newer technologies, like Big Data. I've trained a lot of people working in FTSE 100 & S&P 100 companies. Today I mainly work together with companies to improve their software delivery processes, while coaching and teaching on platforms like Udemy.

A very good course. I got a lot from the course though at times it was easy to lose track amongst all the commands. Had to pay very close attention. Extremely knowledgeable instructors!

I consider myself pretty advanced. I have all 3 Associate level certifications and I have the Security Specialty Certification. This was a great course! I'm a much better Cloud Security Engineer/Architect after going through this.

The trainer was going thru the material quite fast thus resulting in quite a bit of having to play the video back. Which breaks the flow of the course and not having time to process the information.

This is really excellent information! To make it 5 stars, it would be especially nice to see what the differences are with using a CLI vs. just using the GUI in certain instances. Specific examples of where that really matters would be helpful, other than the intro statement about CLI being the best way to program AWS.

As expected, Viaene and Jambers are both doing a excellent job at introducing the early steps to help develop the engagement for this training. Truly one of the best trainers in Udemy Academy.

Well done. Leaves the student with a reusable set of scripts and tools to implement the techniques presented in the course.

Great course, very technical and informative. It is clear that Edward Viaene and Jorn Jambers have a robust understanding of DevOps and Security. I do think that further explanation can be added to some of the content for a more comprehensive overview and purposes of some services for non-expert students. Also would love to hear more about protection on the SSH keys principles and bastion server (dedicate IP in an organization, monitor, etc.) In general, anyone that has hands-on experience with AWS will gain a lot of important knowledge from these professionals.

Thank you for an interesting course. The new best practices are very good in secure area. But maybe some information about OpenVPN source code overcomplicated. And will be good to see AWS configuration with native services like customer gateway and site-to-site vpn connections

Great course. I learned a lot about AWS security best practices. One constructive feedback is that the portion about CloudTrail and lambda automation should be a course on it's own. There should be a section about logging in general: How to enable CloudTrail and CloudWatch, how to make sense of the logs, how to encrypt them, etc. There should also be a section about using AWS KMS to encrypt databases. Still 5 stars!

I'm really glad to see this this type of course. I really like the "real" life use cases used in production scenarios. Please keep updating this course to attract more students. Lessons like SSH connection using SSM and IAM Permission Boundaries will set you apart from the rest. Keep up with AWS security blog and new security releases. And then update this course with a lesson on it. That will 100% make this course a champion!
