Course Description

Whether you are an experienced AWS user or are just getting started with cloud computing. You know it is quite easy to get your infrastructure components deployed in the AWS cloud.

But do you ever wonder how you can orchestrate and manage your AWS resources in an easy and efficient manner? How do you automate the deployment and configuration of your EC2 instances, your IAM users, your elastic load balancers and numerous other AWS components services that your applications rely on?

If so, then we know exactly where you're coming from.

AWS does provide a very useful web based management console to deploy and manage all these cloud resources. The AWS management console works nicely if you have to occasionally make some changes to your cloud infrastructure which comprises of a few components.

But for a cloud architect or a cloud administrator who tend to manage tens or hundreds or even thousands of cloud resources – using the AWS management console may be too time-consuming and inefficient.

AWS also provides a powerful command line interface which can be used to manage AWS services known as AWS CLI.

AWS CLI stands for Amazon Web Services Command Line Interface.
It is a comprehensive and essential toolset provided by AWS which helps software engineers, IT and operations teams and DevOps engineers manage their cloud services and resources. It is a command line interface tool which facilitates automation by using scripting to operationalize your AWS resources from the command window or terminal.

If you are serious about automating your AWS based cloud infrastructure – then using the AWS CLI toolset in conjunction with bash scripting is the only way to go. And when any startup or technology company is looking to implement DevOps practices to automate their cloud infrastructure – they are willing to pay big money for cloud engineers and consultants to help them manage their cloud infrastructure. In fact, the hourly rates cloud engineers are easily few hundred dollars an hour. And the demand for these skills is just exploding.

Wouldn’t you want to acquire these skills and be a part of this cloud computing revolution? Be highly sought after and take your career to the next level

That's why today, we are thrilled to be able to share with you - our new training program "AWS MasterClass: Learn all about AWS Client Line Interface (CLI)."

In this course, you will get an in-depth look at this comprehensive and essential toolset called AWS CLI.

AWS CLI can be used to manage various AWS services like EC2, IAM, ELB, ECS and many others. In this course, we will dive deep into many of these services and learn how we can deploy, configure and manage some of the key cloud components available for these services.

You will find real actionable information and education in exchange for your time, willingness to learn and a fraction of the cost you will be able to demand as a cloud engineer or consultants. We can guarantee that you will get your investment back manyfold in no time.

This course is a very good intro into to using the AWS CLI. It covers several of the most commonly used and popular AWS services. What is learned from these can then easily be transferred to other AWS services. If you've only ever used the console, this course will give you a little more insight into what is actually happening from the API stand point. I found the section on using JMESPath queries and tools very helpful. However, I would like to see this section expanded up even more. If you're going to be doing any CLI scripting, it is an essential tool that you need to know how to effectively use. Going deeper into how to construct queries against some of the more complex json returned would be a definite boon to this section.

Course was fine and comprehensive. Some of the material needs to be updated, certain command options no longer exist or have been renamed. Chapter 13 was a huge waste of time. I'm already taking this advanced course about managing AWS so I don't need a 37-minute commercial that tries to convince me to use AWS. Some of the quiz questions would not accept the correct answer. Some questions offered multiple correct answers in a single choice format.

The subject the instructor picks, was amazing. Besides, I love the instructor's brief personal story, and admire his will and eventually working from a factory worker to be an top 10% IT instructor. (half way comment:) The explaination is very clear, and the examples illustrated are working nicely, with almost no error. I went a little more than the class has illustrated, such as how do I use CLI to get specific access permissions for a user, and wish can get an answer from it. Thanks.

This course was really awesome for providing actual tools and structure with no fluff, have taken a lot of courses (on and offline) and this was really top notch as I personally have very low tolerances for BS at the best of times. Thanks for a great course. I now can extend my scripting playbooks to include AWS as a whole new playbook after taking copious notes as lectures progressed! For those serious about applying this work, type it all out yourself to burn it into your brain, after a while I started to find myself finishing scripts as the lecture was progressing on screen.

Hi there, my name is staline Ngoma I Have chosen this course because of its title which includes DevOps as well. Well, I did like the presentation on the history of your life. Another thing I liked was the content you delivered with the aws cloud cli. To be honest I heard about it so many times and I decided to search on udemy to find one. Now, I am proud to know this other feature of aws Added something new to my IT skillset. Something I didn’t like was about the fact that I didn’t see the DevOps course inside of this program, then the introduction that is at the end of the course. According to me, it doesn’t matter if people know aws cloud computing earlier or not. An Introduction is something crucial for the beginning of a knowledge. Either way I thank you for this course. Good job Manuj.

This would be a 4.5-star course for people who are new to AWS, but not for veterans. Most of the contents like commands for each AWS services can be learned from either command built-in help or AWS documentations. Plus, this course will be more attractive if adding more contents to the scripting lecture module with practical use scenarios.

Good Introduction to the AWS CLI. Though it's not a deep dive course but it gives you enough information to get started with AWS CLI along with shell scripting. It also helps you to use aws help to find information about any command effectively. Great Course !!!

By MICHAEL TAYLOR on 12/11/2017

Frankly this is exactly the course I need. It is so much more difficult to understand what is going on when you are not using the command line. The thing I would really like this instructor to do is create a bunch of courses with emphasis being on the command line. Good instructors are hard to find keep up the good work.

By Michael S Bass on 11/5/2017

Well executed course with good overview examples. Would recommend unified REGION/AZ/VPC/SN/EC2/SG/EBS/S3/ELB/IGW/NGW example in proposed AWS Diagrams and then subfocus on each component to show the completion of the whole solution by each step accomplished. This top down and then back up approach would solidify this course as excellent lesson in not just CLI to support AWS initiatives but how the solutions are integrated. Please keep up the good work.

So far brilliant. The guy knows his stuff and his English is good. so many courses are spoilt by bad English or accent even though the content is good. This is a deal breaker for me. I really feel as though this will add to my knowledge of AWS on a deeper level.
