The course was good and very informative. For the practical part it would have been great if it was done on a windows system and also a windows EC2 instance so that we can do hands on who are not much familiar with Ubuntu.

Esta muy bueno el curso, solamente haría las siguientes observaciones: - La ejecución de los comandos en consola son escritos muy rápido o escritos muy abajo de la pantalla que el recuadro de los subtítulos tapa la visibilidad. - Ver de qué forma actualizarlo un poco, ya que ahora que adquiero el curso veo que la versión de Elasticsearch es antigua en comparación a la versión 6.3.2 que estoy usando, asi como el plugin SENSE ya no existe para google, opte por usar instalar el "Elasticsearch head" me funciono, pero realmente no podía ver los querys como en los ejemplos. Gracias.

Course is a little outdated. I followed the course by using ES 6 with docker (es image and docker-compose) and postman for REST requests. Sometimes I had to lookup for changes in the REST api, tools and sources. But think I learned more cause I had to read the es documentation besides following the course. So it was a little more effort but I learned a lot. Sometimes the teacher is a little fast when typing, explaining and running REST request the same time for example in the mappings section.

Concise but complete. Explains very clearly the concepts needed to understand Elasticsearch and start working with it; even explains the basic concepts of scalability and high availability with practical examples. Use Amazon EC2 for practical examples, which will greatly facilitate the practices to anyone who has previous knowledge in this IaaS provider.

I know the basic concepts of Elasticsearch, but this was a great overview of the background and refresh of my knowledge. Every cours brings new details and explains things differently. It was a great learning experience. Looking forward to part 2 and 3 (L and K) of this series.

A great introductory course if you want learn the fundamentals of ElasticSearch. If you are wondering what ElasticSearch is and how it fits into the broader spectrum of databases and search indexing, this is a great course. Would have liked a bit more coverage of devops/configuration material, but still provides enough to get a basic cluster running on separate nodes with replication. And finally, the end provides a great introduction to working with the RESTful API to upload and query data, which is the bread and butter of ElasticSearch.

sound beginner courses, covered various aspects for beginners consider to improve: - the introduction part is a bit long. people may walkaway before the hands on start (the hands on part is actually very good) - need better slides and and organization, such as cut off the part while waiting for download/import. then given the same amount of time, you may cover more advanced topics. - I'm following the tutorial with ELK 5, there're some version incompatibility. would be nice if you could update some of the contents.

This was perhaps one of the best courses I have ever done. I am a long time software engineer with a need to quickly learn Elasticsearch and I never expected it to be that quick. He is awesome and not only explains everything perfectly but also, goes to the point and doesn't waste a second. 100% recommended

The early half of the course was too theoretical, and the instructor didn't spend much effort connecting what he was saying with visual cues on the video slides - it became too easy to zone out. That being said, the course was a decent overview of ElasticSearch, and the instructor is very knowledgeable. More practical examples (worked through) could make this a solid 4/5 star course.

This is a very good course on Elastic Search. The instructor has a very good knowledge on the topic and has presented it well. The demos of installation, configuration and usage of Elastic Search on AWS EC2 are good. The real life dataset demo presented is also very good. The demo is based on ElasticSearch 2.3.4, If the videos are updated to use latest version (Elastic Search 5.x) it would be great as I had difficulty in using ES 5.x on AWS EC2 and finally had to revert to 2.3.4. Overall a very good course on ElasticSearch.
