Course Description
Today the technology sector is experiencing a boom throughout the world. There are hundreds of startups launching every day. In order to move fast - these startups need people who are skilled at automating as much as possible. Mostly progressive startups - favor implementing completely automated DevOps pipelines from the get go. They realize that these practices of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) will yield tremendous benefits regarding speed and agility. The demand for these skills has been steadily rising over the last few years.
AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeDeploy is a highly scalable and configurable toolset from Amazon AWS which enables us to build very sophisticated automated build and deployment pipelines.
Jenkins is an award-winning open source toolset which enables us to build very sophisticated automated build pipelines very quickly. It has extensive community support which has augmented the core functionality of Jenkins by building and sharing hundreds of very useful plugins.
Implementing continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment with these tools and frameworks can help us immensely in reducing the risk within our software development lifecycle. It catches us bugs early and increases the quality of our software products. This, in turn, reduces the overall cost to develop innovative software in any environment - startups and enterprise alike.
The demand for professionals who have experience with these tools has been growing steadily over the last few years. The salaries and consulting rates for these skills have also been rising and are only bound to go up as the demand for these skills remains steady or increases. Professionals with AWS and Jenkins experience can demand as much as $130K as their yearly compensation and these jobs pay more than majority of the jobs posted on US job boards.

It gives a good overview about what we need to use these technologies. As a result I know were to go for the project though I still have to learn a lot about Jenkins, pipelines (dev, testing..) and DEVOPS and AWS.

Hello, Thanks for awesome course , keeping the chapters with few minutes made more fun learn. Being Unix/Linux and beginner I would suggest to let know begginers - what pgadmin is ? and it not clear in 4th chapter that you were using a ubuntu/Linux server to install though I had understood later chapters its Linux box. Over all big thumbs-up I loved the course being short and made to learn fast !

Thank you for creating such a nice course in DevOps for AWS with Jenkins. I was looking such small and deep dive content from a long time. I would appreciate if you can also cover why DevOps is so popular in current market trend. What are the advantages of DevOps in respect to Waterfall & Agile. It would be also good if you can add scripts which ever you have used to setup i.e download options of the scrpts in this course itself.

This course helped me to create the AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins and CodeDeploy integration. I could now create the CI-CD in AWS for my demo application. However, I found few of the steps missing while explaining the installation part. Which I discovered myself after doing some research on internet.

The course covers important topics which is a good reason for my participation. The instructor is very knowledgeable and provides technical examples. However, I did find it hard to follow in later sections since there are many steps that should be explained and listed as a bullet points just prior to proceeding with typing commands and making many assumptions that students completely understand, especially due to the very fast pace. For example, there should be an overall list at the beginning of each lesson explaining objectives and what the instructor is attempting to accomplish prior to starting the tutorials. I also recommend having overview diagrams of how each component/module relates to each other in various stages or lessons. Instead, I found myself trying to comprehend how each step related to each other and spent too much time focusing on that rather than the actual materials. If you already have a solid technical background, you should have no problems following the material, and therefore, should enjoy the course material.

This is an *introduction* to CodePipeline, Jenkins, and CodeDeploy. Great for beginners and to get an initial exposure to these tools, not at all for intermediate / advanced users. Most of the real skills necessary to make these tools work in a production environment are glossed over. I'd give it a higher score, except that the course created the impression that more advanced topics would be covered. This is not an "all levels" course.

I really enjoyed taking this course, it was very enlightening and informative. I liked the real world examples and results. I really appreciate it. I was able to follow consistently and did not have one of them "wait what just happened gaps" that I've had on some other classes. As a self-taught web developer in the industry I feel I need these types of training now to stay relevant and progress my career. I happy I took the course, just to be able to see the CI&CD workflow in action from start to finish was worth it. Special thanks to Mr. Aggarwal and TetraTutorials, I will look for other classes provided by you guys as well.

Great Course, through which I strengthened my knowledge on Continuous Integration with Jenkins and Amazon Web Services. I would totally recommend it to a friend.

This course is very, very good: It is very real world and extremely well presented. It takes a very common sense and logical approach: Shows you how to do a "pure manual AWS CodePipeline & AWS CodeDeploy": so you know what a non automated and "normal" config and associations between the two looks like. Then as you add more complexity like Jenkins, the PostgreSQL DB, the NodeJS app, etc.. you do all that on the Ubuntu "Developer" server. Why? Because you want to know how all that works, without introducing automation (CI & CD), etc. Then... you start getting it all and how it all fits. It is very well presented: this instructor is very good and has put time and effort into this one. Well done. It was well worth both, my time and the modest money, with this one. Not always a given. I am so impressed with this Instructor, I will likely take his Jenkins course. If its quality is near this one, it will be... 'time well spent'. This course is just plain excellent.
