Our take
Based on the ratings of 7,721 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in February 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a long exam-prep course for Microsoft's AZ-104 Azure Administrator certification, built around the official module list: identity, governance, networking, storage, VMs, serverless, backup and monitoring. Anand Rao Nednur teaches it, and the syllabus shows 59 hours across 467 lectures, with two practice tests and a large block of hands-on identity, networking and storage labs done three ways, in the portal, PowerShell and the Azure CLI. About 66,000 students have enrolled. It suits working IT people who already know networking and virtualization basics and want a structured path to the exam.
Students who rate it highly praise the labs and the level of detail. Several say the explanations are easy to follow, and one reviewer said it felt like sitting in a real classroom. The complaints are consistent, though. Recent low-star reviews say many videos still show the old portal and old terminology (Azure AD rather than Entra ID), that audio and video quality varies from lecture to lecture, and that the instructor's accent and habit of saying 'ok' take getting used to. One reviewer says the practice tests contain wrong answers, and another found the labs too script-heavy for a click-through admin.
The update date is February 2026, and the description says new labs were added then, but the core lectures date from earlier, so expect to check the current portal as you go. The 4.4 rating from about 7,700 reviews, with most at four or five stars, suggests the material still gets people through the exam. Among the IT and software courses it sits beside, it's the only one aimed squarely at an Azure certification, and the labs are the reason to pick it over reading the docs.
Pros
- Identity, networking and storage labs done three ways: portal, PowerShell and Azure CLI, plus two practice tests.
- Reviewers say the explanations are detailed and easy to take notes from.
- Big, recent student base: 4.4 stars from about 7,700 reviews, most of them four or five stars.
- Seventeen caption tracks and a certificate on completion.
Cons
- Low-star reviews say many videos still show the old portal and Azure AD naming instead of Entra ID.
- Audio and video quality varies between lectures, and the accent plus a verbal tic bother some students.
- One reviewer reports wrong answers in the included practice tests.
At time it was hard to understand the instructor. But it was well delivered and I learned alot. Great labs and appreciate the time put into the training course.
Listed as intermediate, and it is: you should know TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs and on-prem virtualization before starting.

I feel like I am in a real classroom. I got everything I need in this course. I wish Anando also taught D365 F&O. I could not pass that test back when the company paid for the exams, but if I had Anando's course back then I bet I would have passed. I don't need to take the Azure exam, but learning the course to better serve clients.
