Hello! My name is Jeremy Aschenbrenner, but many know me better as The BA Guide, and I'm happy you are here.
I’m a veteran Business Analyst with thousands of projects completed throughout my career. I've managed business analysis projects for companies in diverse industries including health care, telecom, automotive, transportation, consumer packaged goods, car rental agency, food and beverage, financial services, consulting, and more.
Through personal experience, I quickly learned that business analysis can be confusing and even intimidating. There’s endless business jargon, technical terms, techniques, and methodologies to learn, and countless visual diagrams, artifacts, elicitation sessions, interfaces, and KPIs to wrap your head around. I’ve been there and learned all of that. Many years ago, I also learned a valuable lesson about myself: I really enjoy teaching others. This was the inspiration for The BA Guide.

Yes, the course was a good match for me. I studied some Business Analysis concepts during my second year at college, so taking this course felt like a great revision. The instructor explained the BABOK Guide in a much clear and more practical way than I had experienced before, which helped me understand the concepts better and refresh my knowledge. it also gave me more confidence in applying Business Analysis principles and prepared me for pursuing a career as a Business Analyst.

This is exactly for someone who doesn't know the foundations of a Business analyst role, I've got a intern job as a IT BA and this is helping me tremendously to better understand and structure my career. Thank you.

Le lezioni sono un sorvolo sul ruolo, toccando gli elementi fondamentali. Sicuramente per un esperto non certificato sono delle conferme, per chi si accinge a cominciare è una buona partenza.

Provided great condensed material to understand. The topics flowed well and mentioned the critical points with examples. I would say an opportunity would be to include the links of the case studies to pull up and review the article in that sense.

i went through a lot of BA courses. As a totally fresh manager to BA/IT analyses environment, I find your courses super valuable. They are concise, practical, full of examples and engaging thanks to tools you prepared. Thank you!

The explanations were clear and precise. But I was expecting Jeremy to elaborate task based on the said format . "Each task in the BABOK® Guide is presented in the following format: Purpose,Description,Inputs,Elements,Guidelines/Tools,Techniques,Stakeholders,Outputs". If there are other lessons which you prepared in such format ,kindly share with me to patronize . Generally you did a great job.

Overall it is very good , but too academic. The structure is kind of not clear, so I have to consult google's gemini AI to help me understand a few things. For example, when the lecturer talks about a technique, I had to ask gemini when and where in business analysis process does this technique should be employed? I also have to google for some examples in order for me to understand. Lets say , the lecturer discusses decision modeling and process modeling. What are the differences, when both might use a similar looking flow chart? Overall it is good and helpful, for me it helps me see the learning structure i need to follow in order to study business analysis, but it is not the most comprehensive source. It is kind of disjointed.

personally for me a few more quizzes to help test my understanding. Overall the course had a great flow with useful examples which helps me with preparing to write the ECBA. I found I was looking up the BABOK sections as content was being explained which also helped
