Build a solid foundation in software architecture applying Dependency Injection

In many of my courses I use techniques of Dependency Injection and each time students write me private messages saying that they don't what it is and thus they don't understand what's going on in the course I teach. This is very unfortunate from the learning perspectives.

Dependency Injection is the set of techniques that allow to supply dependencies to objects. Actually, if you have ever passed dependencies via constructors, then you applied the so-called constructor injection. Dependency Injection (DI) is simple and difficult at the same time. On one hand, DI is comprised of simple techniques and on the other hand, when we need to bring DI to the next level, we need to make things more complicated using the so-called DI or IoC (Inversion of Control) Containers.

If you still don't understand what am I talking about, just believe me, you absolutely need to know about Dependency Injection. This course will tremendously improve your understanding of how software architectures emerge. So, this course is "must watch" for anyone who still doesn't understand what is DI and IoC-Containers.

Content and Overview

This course is aimed at all kind of developers.

  • Introduction to Inversion of Control:  Dependency Inversion Principle (DIP), Inversion of Control (IoC), Dependency Injection (DI), Dependencies and their types, Pure DI and IoC-Containers, Service Locator

So far, this the best tutorial I've encountered on DI. Well developed and conveyed so far. Love the practical 'plug' example to set the basis! Nice job.

The accent makes it hard to follow along and understand. You also need to know C# for this course to actually be applicable.

By Sherif Adel on 8/27/2020

The instructor's method of teaching was awesome, he made such a hard to digest concept too easy to understand

By John Anderson on 12/5/2019

I like the discussion but some words are hard to make out. Also, It was entitled 'dependency injection' and has not yet discussed that.

By Naveed Yousaf on 10/30/2019

Yes, It is a good match if slides are made available that would have been a great.

The basic part is complete, but there are too many parts of the introduction, and there is not enough code to help people understand the course. It is not suitable for people who don't understand the subject at all. It is more suitable for people who have a certain degree of understanding and return to the basics of learning.

By Glauber Ataide on 10/17/2018

Great course, I could understand a lot of things I've used for years in real world development but couldn't explain! Now everything is clear!

By Igor Sushko on 10/4/2018

Bad pronunciation and bad quality of audio. In some cases in hard to understand what author says. Course itself is good.

By Mary C on 5/29/2018

I am a visual learner so the example regarding the lamp, socket and solder was great! Would have liked another example to talk about the modules and abstraction a bit more.

By Nicholas Beers on 4/29/2018

This covered everything I was hoping to get out of the course in a short amount of time with good examples & explanations. The accent was a little thick, but I understood everything by the end of the course. The only thing holding me back from a higher review was honestly the audio quality dipped drastically for a handful of the videos which made it harder to follow and there were no exercise. Highly recommend anyone who wants to understand the concepts of DI and IoC in a short amount of time.
