The intro was really great, but I got tripped up several times because of differences between the version in the video and the current version. Some things aren't there. I just got sidetracked quite a bit because the brush boolean creates a new boolean_cutters entry in the file tree that contains the eyes so I can't just pair them like in the video. But the two seem to be attached so I guess that will have to do. There were also some issues clearing up non-flat surfaces. Best I could find working with AI was to use control-T to make all the polygons triangles. It worked ok. I still appreciate the course, but I wish there were some updates to fix these little inconsistencies.

I enjoyed the course but might I suggest that you spend some time explaining some of the terminolgy. i.e Vertices, Booleans, etc. I'm new to 3D printing and modeling so some of this sounded like you where talking hebrew.. I don't know who invents these words but surely there must be a way to explain them in lay mans terms. Maybe it's just my age, knocking on to 72 but not finished yet. lol. Anyway, thank you and I did enjoyed the course but will have to watch a few sections repeatedly to make sure it sinks in. Regards Jerry

A lot of material to absorb, but thorough enough to get started for a beginner like me. I will definitely take more of Jayson's courses, I recommend them. The course is designed for 3D printing only, but there is much more to learn about Blender that could not be covered in this course. I would like to know how the base file was set up for the course, things such as the lighting and camera.

I had been learning Blender from watching several YouTube videos, but they were all about doing one thing, and even if they were basic, they would only tell enough to accomplish their current task. This left many holes in what I knew. This class covers the basics of Blender thoroughly enough that I have a much better feel for what Blender can do and how to approach it.

Overall good content. But for me, the lessons are too much chopped up. They should be more like 10-15min Also taking up too much time for the intro and finish of every lesson. Such an intro and finish is okey for every section, not for every lesson. Some of us have limited time to study and this intro's etc are just a waste of time.

The presenter explains everything very well, while also covering all the different ways to use the tools he is showcasing. He moves a little fast some times for me, someone brand new to Blender, but I'm catching on and that's the benefit of the video course is I can just back it up if needed.

Excellent course I can highly recommend for beginners as a fast way get your design ready for 3D-printer. I needed to create a 3D print in a weekend for a project but with limited Blender experience this course was really perfect with clear instructions from a cheery presenter - all necessary steps clearly explained from setting up environment to most relevant add-ons plus walking through tools and steps to get file ready for 3D Printing. The course works mainly with a standard blender object but as I was impatient, I was able to directly apply steps to my own imported svg (only needed to jump out to find a YouTube on the svg step but very straightforward). The course was invaluable for the more complicated Blender workflow. And first 3D print was successful as well !

This course has been my kickstart with Blender. I've tried quite a few Youtube tutorials and guides before this course and none of them made me feel comfortable and confident with Blender basics. The instructor teaches very clearly and goes over everything he is doing in an ordered and fun way. This course was very much worth it.

Thank you. I finished the course some time ago and I still keep practicing and modeling in Blender and another 3D sculpting software in my free time. Thank you for such informative course. This helps me a lot to understand how to design 3D printable designs in a 3d program. And what to look for. The steps and the instructions was very easy to replicate for me. The course was really fun to make. I hope that I can produce in future good designs. I am still learning character design and try to adapt my knowledge to 3D modeling but there is still a long way for me to produce 3D printable tabletop figures, because I want to make them. So Thank you for your course again. Best regards.

I find Blender a super technical program and there was a real push at times trying to keep up (i.e., drinking from a firehose). I did experience multiple technical difficulties throughout this course. However, these were not the direct fault of the instructor (more attributable to program limitations). More importantly , I thought the instructor did a very good job of communicating with me when I did have problems. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the course and think that with more practice and projects, that I might actually develop some proficiency with this program. I would recommend this course for intermediate computer users or those with some experience with graphic design.
