Course Description

This Blender for Game Art Course was designed to teach anyone using Blender a typical pipeline and workflow that you may see at a gaming studio. We start off by learning how to 3D model a modular set using Blender, then UV Unwrap and Layout, for Texturing inside of Substance Painter. Shortly after texturing, we import our 3d models and textures into Unreal Engine 5. After creating materials we begin lighting our environment, add decals for dirt, blood, and particles for fire, smoke, and dust. This is one of the most informative and hands on course out and you will learn things that will help build an impressive portfolio. I've worked in the gaming Industry for the last 5 years and I've picked up workflows that make this pipeline efficient and fun. UE5 is the latest game engine that studios will want artist to know, and by taking this course will ensure that you're familiar with the UI, and most elements, to be able to handle almost any task. The reason why I chose to add Substance Painter into the workflow is because it's the industry standard texturing program, and I will prepare you for being able to procedurally texture or hand-paint any UV'd 3dmodel or asset.

Excellent. I've been interested in game design for years but always couldn't find a concise course or guide to finalize on how to showcase on how relatively easy or simple to go from nothing "environmental assets" to a full level. However the tech keeps improving to make level design or production quicker and easier. Regardless, the course was well worth the money. I can't wait to start making my own version and expanding on the knowledge. One thing though it's missing is stairs. Maybe a follow-up course?? The instructor was great a well because he explains step by step on how to do everything and I mean from Blender, to Substance Painter and in Unreal. Bravo!!

English: Wow, I am Blown away basically. I finished the course in 1,5 days and I can not recommend it enough. If you know some of the basics it will be easier but even if you are a beginner this course will be perfect for you. You are led through the entire process of creating Assets, texturing them, importing into Unreal Engine and setting them up in a scene. Every aspect of the workflow is taught in this course and it is easy to follow along. Solid 5 Star performance.

This was a really good course. I've taken plenty of game development courses over the years and while most are very good they can also be a bit convoluted and verbose as time. This course doesn't provide too much information, it was just how to model, texture and get them into Unreal Engine in the most straight forward manner. The main reason I gave this course 4 stars instead of 5 is I think the assets created in Blender should have been made to the Unreal Engine scale so they could simply and seamlessly snap together like many of the professional modular kits do that are found on the Unreal marketplace. Also how to properly set the pivot point of the assets rather than just roughly clicking and setting the pivot offset so they can be rotated perfectly. While I understand these things may have been beyond the initial scope of this course I think just including that would have made this the most complete beginner's Blender and Game Asset to Engine course.

Hi, as a beginner I could follow your course very well, furthermore I could get important basics for Blender and Substance 3D Painter. (I couldn't learn much about Unreal Engine 5, but that's also because I've already watched 100 tutorials about the engine, but you explained everything very well, in my opinion). If you want to know how to create your own rooms in Blender and build them into the Ue5 you should have a look here. the walls created fit perfectly from the size ratio in the Unreal engine. in addition you learn how to create your own textures. see you at the next gaming course!
