Course Description

Doesn't it seem boring to do the most weary task day after day, machine by machine, taking up an hour or more from your time just to make one device ready to be used?

Formatting PCs "or installing Windows" was (and still) one of the most frustrating tasks that any helpdesk engineer or PC maintenance shop need to do. What I came up with this course is a cool, easy and professional way to make your Windows installation experience as never been before.

This course is a mix of many features, tools, and ideas that are combined together to master custom Windows image that works on all desktops & notebooks you have.

We will create a virtual Windows machine (Windows 7, 8.1, or 10) using either Hyper-V or VirtualBox, whatever is convenient for you. Then, we will modify the image, add files to it, install applications, updates, and whatever modifications we want. Respectively we will capture that Windows machine using ImageX to extract a WIM file with all these modifications.

Next, we will see how we can use this extracted WIM file to create a bootable Windows image, moving to use an XML file that we can create to automate installing Windows almost without any user interaction.

Feel like this is too advanced technical course? Don't do! We will explain every single step. No rocket science in this course, guaranteed! You will see how to do each step in a very easy and straight forward way.

This is a solid course for small to mid-sized companies looking at adding a bit of automation to their Windows deployments. It focuses on the practical, and is very much a course for getting things done. A fantastic jump-off point!

Its going pretty fast which is what rewind is for. But Im not as impressed as I was at the very beginning. I will try to finish this course and see how I feel. It needs to be updated with Window 10 Pro options, as well as a few videos incorporating the downloading and installation of Win10 ISO Images. This one only goes up to Windows 7 and 8.1.

It's old. Win 7 is going out of support soon and with most companies purchasing newer machines with newer Intel SKUs that ONLY support Windows 10, that would have been a better choice for learning. (It should be notated in the course title that this "course" was created in 2013. Time for an update) Another thing about learning from Win 10 is that because the OS has changed significantly in regards to the options/restrictions, those of us using the Enterprise version are limited to, it would have been nice to see how and what can be done and how it may affect an Enterprise version of Win 10 on an Enterprise environment. This course seems okay for maybe home users who want to image their personal devices or for those who build PCs at home and do not want to spend the hours needed to reinstall ALLL the needed software.

The course seemed very well organized, and helped me understand the subject easily from a hobbyist perspective. I hope to use the acquired knowledge in preparation for future self-employment.

This is the second course I've taken by Omar Gaddas and it was a great course. He teaches you to automate Windows installations without the use of a server. This is useful for techs who wish to fix deploy Windows operating systems on the fly. There was a lot of great tips in there as well. It's a time saver and it's definitely a great skillset to have under your belt. -Sage

Omar does a great job with going step by step and explaining what he is about to do next. This course has actually helped a great deal and because of it I was able to install WDS in my environment to automate new computer installs. Thanks Omar and great job! Rafael.

Thanks Omar for your course. Its been a while since i have looked at sysprep and other tools. If i had one small issue is that you did race through the material fairly quickly and perhaps it can be delivered slightly slower next time, other than that a great course which i think i will watch through a few times. thanks

Thanks to Omar for presenting a course on this method of image creation and Windows installation automation. This course is very informative, very well delivered - in easy to follow steps, but Omar also explains what's going on, so I understood what he was explaining, rather than just following blindly. If you need to install Windows on several machines, I can fully recommend this course, save yourself some time and take this course!!

I am a Enterprise Level Systems administrator but another section is responsible for creating the images for our workstations. I never have the time to learn the image creation process and this was what I really needed to learn for home use. Although the tools used for each environment are very different, they accomplish the same basic results. This course was design quite well and found the concepts easy to grasp. I had no problems keeping up; however, a beginner might have an issue with the speed you speak in the demonstrations. Thank you, Mr. Dabbas, for the time and effort you spent creating this course!

Although I do like it when every option is explained and absolutely everything is covered, sometimes I just want to know what to do and this course does just that. No bells or whistles, just a good and concise "how to" guide with free software. Also Omar is very nice and friendly, answers my questions very quickly and is very open to suggestions and expansions. I have had a few problems and he has helped me along the way. The only real negative is that he does speak a bit too fast for me so I sometimes need to rewind a bit to catch what he said but that is a minor thing. If you want to create a custom OS ISO with a bunch of pre-installed software and drivers and even have it do an auto install, then this course does it!
