A short course from Luke Priddy, the founder of Cloud English, built around one idea: stop translating in your head and start forming thoughts in English. The syllabus shows 15 lectures over about 3 hours, split into learning methods, a set of English brain exercises, and a section on making English part of daily life. It suits intermediate learners who can already follow clear spoken English and hold a basic conversation. The requirements say so plainly, and the instructor himself warns that very low-level students may struggle with the exercises.

Reviewers keep coming back to two things: the clear voice and the concrete exercises. One names the four-word practice and variation drills as methods for getting the brain into English mode, and another says the daily routine section was her favourite part. The teaching style is chalk and blackboard, one idea per lesson, which students find easy to follow. The recent sample has no negative reviews at all, and 1 and 2 star ratings are under 2 percent of the total. The gaps are structural instead. The course is short, there are no quizzes, articles or assignments, and the last update was in July 2024, so nothing here is new.

With about 139,000 students and more than 37,000 reviews at 4.6 stars, it has a big following, and roughly 90 percent of ratings are 4 or 5 stars. Beside the grammar and exam courses it sits alongside in Language Learning, this is a different kind of thing: a method for thinking, not a reference.
