No previous experience in manufacturing, quality, engineering, or statistics is required. The course explains each concept in clear, practical language and is designed for anyone seeking an approachable introduction to Lean Six Sigma.
What Is Lean Six Sigma?
Lean Six Sigma combines two complementary approaches to process improvement:
Six Sigma was developed at Motorola during the 1980s and focuses on reducing process variation, defects, and inconsistency.
Lean Manufacturing grew largely from the Toyota Production System, with important earlier contributions from Ford, and focuses on improving flow, eliminating waste, and making better use of resources.
Together, Lean and Six Sigma provide a powerful and practical collection of methods for improving processes in manufacturing, service, healthcare, logistics, supply chain, and many other environments.

This was a great refresher for me, having previously sponsored DMAIC projects. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting their process improvement journey using the DMAIC methodology.

I am pleased to have completed the Lean Six Sigma White Belt course. The training provided a solid foundation in process improvement, waste reduction, DMAIC methodology, and quality management tools. I appreciate the opportunity to enhance my continuous improvement knowledge and look forward to applying these principles in my daily work.

The training was comprehensive and suitable for a manufacturing audience. It would be helpful to have a separate session for non-manufacturing participants, especially fresh graduates and those new to Lean or Continuous Improvement, to help them better understand the concepts.

This class gave really good information! I didn't realize I was using Lean Six Sigma over the course of my career. I am definitely looking forward to the exam and earning the white belt certification! Let my Six Sigma journey begin!

This is one of the best White Belt courses. It's apparent that Ray is teaching the course with actual experience utilizing the tools in his career. I'm looking forward to taking other courses offered by him.

Ray makes it very easy to understand Lean and Six Sigma definitions, concepts and processes - at the intended introductory level. The audio quality varies quite a bit. For example, with my headphones/speakers set at a comfortable level for module 10, I struggled to hear Ray in module 11 and 12 without cranking the volume up to maximum.

The set up is more than a little confusing. When it asks for an eval and says on the Udemy page that the course is complete, I'm not sure how to proceed since I've only watched one of the videos.

This course is a great introduction to the world of Six Sigma and knowing that process improvement can be applied in any industry. Ray Harkins explained the topics by combining both theoretical and real scenario applications in the simplest approach possible.
