Instructor Details

Graham Bray

I have been a teacher in the UK for nearly 30 years, and am currently the Director of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) at a large comprehensive school in East Sussex. To bore you with the qualifications, I have a Joint Honours Degree in Botany and Zoology from University College, Cardiff, and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia. I was also one of the first Advanced Skills Teachers in the South East of England.

I am a passionate believer in life-long learning, and I will do whatever I can to encourage learning for all ages. Using videos to enhance learning has great potential, and I try to exploit this through my websites.

On a personal level I am married to a primary school headteacher, and we have two grown-up daughters. When not creating videos or teaching I relax (!) by working out at the gym, watching rugby and football, and doing a little work around the garden.

I needed a review in chemistry and this course is a good one for me to refamiliarize with the basics.

You have to speak English to do this course because the translation is awful. Please hire a good translator.

This subject is very fascinating! I will have to go back over it, as taking notes and listening simultaneously does not help me retain the information completely.

By Christopher D Catalano on 6/20/2019

It is a great course, but there are no printable notes. I loved it, but I spent a lot of time writing everything out and then watched the course again so I could see the material uninterrupted.

Very informative, instructor very knowledgeable

I always thought of chemistry to be very confusing, just to realize now it was probably a fault of my school teachers. Instructor Graham Bray has explained all important details so well and in a fun and easy to learn manner, he deserves 10 out of 5 stars. Fantastic course series all from part 1 to 3.

By Curtis Stewart on 4/15/2018

excellent content, however, some areas need just a little more detail. For example, the formulas that describe the alkali metals reaction to water could use a little more in-depth explanation.

By Marie I. Herndon on 1/20/2018

I am learning a lot about chemistry that I have not or do not remember learning before. Part 2 Chemistry was a bit more difficult for me to understand and I needed to go back to the notes for the test.

By Nida Saleem on 8/15/2016

Much more in depth compared to the first lesson, learned a lot, easy to understand because it was all very clear and described thoroughly.

By Julie Townsend on 7/26/2015

Great class. I am not a scientist, and found the new information interesting and stimulating.
