I wouldn't have purchased this course if I know beforehand this was about seal script calligraphy. Who needs seal script? What I wanted and had expected was a course in kaishu, a script that almost everyone I know started with and still uses.

The teacher is very good and the content is precious. She makes it easy to learn this Chinese ancient style of calligraphy.

It's been a pleasure so far and more helpful than anything that I have managed to find online so far.

I’m enjoying this course so very much. I’m actually recognising 小篆 Xiao Zhuan style writing and I’m able to write a few words. Becky’s lectures have helped me to select better brushes and paper to use. I use liquid ink for convenience. I’m hoping that Becky will do further courses after this one. I’d love to learn more words and some phrases. Becky’s calligraphy lessons are addictive. They are fun. I simply watch the video and then try to copy how Becky uses her brush. I’m still not very good with my brush, but I’m getting more confident. I’d like to learn how to write 马 ma (horse). I will have to be patient to see if we cover this word in this course
