Course Description
Deep Cisco BGP routing for CCNP and CCIE paths: path attributes, policies, and design.
Course Description – BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) Advanced Routing
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the routing technology that powers the largest and most sophisticated network in the world today—the Internet. It is the protocol responsible for interconnecting autonomous systems and enabling efficient, scalable, and policy-driven routing between global networks.
BGP is also a foundational component of many modern networking technologies, including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), cloud connectivity, service provider architectures, and large-scale enterprise WAN environments. A strong understanding of BGP is essential for any engineer aspiring to work at an advanced level in routing and design.
This course is taught by a dual CCIE-certified expert with more than 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting BGP in production networks. The training covers BGP theory, configuration on Cisco IOS routers, best practices, and deep troubleshooting techniques.
The curriculum includes various service provider and enterprise design scenarios, focusing on:
BGP neighbor relationships
Route advertisement and path selection
Attributes and policies for traffic engineering
Advanced BGP features and protocol scalability
Real-world usage rules and design considerations
Students will also work through hands-on exercises that reinforce practical configuration and analysis skills.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be prepared to design, implement, and maintain robust, efficient, and policy-driven BGP networks suitable for both enterprise and service provider environments. This training is highly valuable for professionals preparing for CCNP, CCIE, or real-world BGP deployment roles.

If you're serious about mastering BGP and working with Cisco routers, this course is a fantastic deep dive into one of the most critical protocols in networking. The instructor does an excellent job of breaking down complex BGP concepts into digestible, real-world explanations, making it accessible whether you're refreshing your knowledge or learning from scratch. The course covers everything from basic BGP principles to advanced topics like route filtering, path manipulation, and troubleshooting, all with practical labs that reinforce the concepts. The hands-on exercises are particularly valuable, giving you the confidence to configure and troubleshoot BGP in a real-world environment. Highly recommended for network engineers looking to deepen their BGP expertise!

Good overview of BGP concepts in a very structured manner. Was looking forward to the actual message formats sent on the wire through Wireshark also. Having one session on that will be a great.

This course was very helpful. I am fairly new to BGP and this course help to clarify and cement some important concepts and nuances of this protocol. I would recommended this course.

This Author provide a very good explanation about everything you need to know about how to learn about CCIE Routing Switching Technology, and Sikandar is very generous because he likes to share about new study material about Cisco New Technologies.

At first, I thought the videos were too lengthy or too long for each topic. However, as I progress through each of the topics, I realized that he is actually taking his time to explain and go an extra mile on each concepts for us to deeply understand BGP. He is great at explaining concepts and behaviors that other courses in this site had failed to do. Cheers for you sir!

its really awesome video series to get brush up on BGP protocol. of course you need to have handson practice as well and more reading books. For Trainer: Please avoid background local noises. Please try to record videos in quiet room. it will improve your video and sound quality. Thank you very much..

Overall good content...I would clean up the background noise (kids, birds, etc), draw clearer diagrams when making a point, and focus more on the WHY and off REAL WORLD examples! That would be huge....thank you

In the past I've tried to understand BGP by reading books. Its been a slow and difficult process and I've never finished the book. This course has changed all that. I wish I had come across it earlier. The pace of the course is perfect for learning with plenty of repetition and summaries to ensure you've understood the material.
