Course Description
Cisco MPLS Layer 3 VPN fundamentals: VRF, MP-BGP, and SP VPN labs.
Course Description – MPLS VPN Technologies (CCIE Routing & Switching)
MPLS VPN is one of the most widely deployed technologies in modern service provider networks. It enables scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of customer VPN services across large carrier backbones. Because of its importance in real-world environments, MPLS VPN is also a key topic tested in the CCIE Routing and Switching Version 5 exam.
This course is designed to take you from the fundamentals of MPLS technology all the way to advanced MPLS Layer 3 VPN configuration. It covers the control-plane and data-plane operations of MPLS, label distribution, VRF design, route targets, MP-BGP, and end-to-end VPN provisioning. Each concept is explained with clarity and supported by practical lab demonstrations.
The training is delivered by a dual CCIE-certified expert with more than a decade of hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting MPLS networks in production environments. The course includes real-world scenarios that help you understand how MPLS is deployed by service providers and how engineers handle routing, traffic flow, and VPN provisioning challenges.
In addition to core MPLS VPN topics, the training introduces updated technologies such as Traffic Engineering, RSVP-TE, and Layer 2 VPNs, giving learners a broader understanding of modern MPLS capabilities. The course also focuses on how MPLS integrates into existing routed environments and how various MPLS-based services are configured and validated in practical deployments.
This course provides both foundational knowledge and advanced skills, making it valuable for network engineers preparing for the CCIE exam as well as those working in service provider or large-scale enterprise environments.

The instructor explain the concepts well, but slightly floats on the surface. - Did not explain how VPN routes are resolved in default routing table - Did not explain VPN service labels These are important points to understand how routing is done in hardware.

It is a good experiance, covered all important subject. It is better if more covered on traffic engineering and inter AS MPLS. Overall this course was usefull. Thanks.

This course helped me to understand core network, but it would be helpful if the subtitles can be added (sometimes it was hard to understand the English pronunciation from the trainer).

dear lecturer, thanks very much, this tutorial really helps, it elaborates every single command. clear, straightforward, no much redandency in the tutorial. if u can add up some labs for practice and more bonus lectures, I would love to say this video is the second-to-none i ve seen on udemy.

LAB Workbook need to be available on Udemy repository. Lack information on what cisco device image is use. I will be much better if the image is part of the repository CCIE Routing & Switching Version 5.0 - VPN Very poor response on Queries. Repetitive course on Looking forward to have the topology been done eve-ng and all the project labs are uploaded to udemy (RAW and Complete).

I like his style of "getting to the point". CBT nuggets is good but they tend to try to be too cute and funny too often. And there are the other "over caffeinated geeks" who just blurt it out and say it's your problem for not keeping up. This instructor sticks to the information you need to know. Does a good job of covering bases. His English is also good. Can't train when you can't understand the instructor.

I big sigh of relief !! These videos are really good for understanding MPLS L3 VPN. I wish Sikander would make an OSPF version with goes in depth details about it. OSPF is widely used and a series on that would be awesome.

Excellent insight into MPLS L3 VPNs appliance, troubleshooting and engineering. Don't get me wrong, the course is essential, but what is more important is practice, practice, practice, practice etc;
